MeFOTO A35W Reviews
Nice Monopod
Purchased this for my daughter and she used it regularly while we were on vacation.
My go to Walking Stick
Don't use monopods much and I have to admit that this gets more use as a walking stick then a monopod. However, when I want some support for a shot, they quickly go from a walking stick to a monopod by unscrewing the top cap. The 4 section legs extend to just the right height for me being 5'11, sorry for the over 6 footers, you may need to bend a little bit. Like I stated at the beginning I use this as a walking stick a lot. They are fairly light weight for the build quality which is really nice. They have a nice foam grip with a wrist band, The top that comes off to expose the camera mount has a compass on top which comes in handy just to look down at as you're trekking through the forest. I do a lot of hiking in the Ozarks and trails and non-trails get a little tricky to navigate and using the MeFOTO WalkAbout has become a regular part of my hiking equipment. Infact, this is my first one and I bought another one almost immediately after receiving my first one. The rubber foot can be replaced with a medal foot or spike. My rubber one is showing a lot of abuse so a replacement foot will be soon in the making.

Excellent walking stick.
For the price (on sale), this is the best walking stick for the money. It's so good, I ordered two this time. My first one got stolen out of my shopping cart. If you can get it on sale and nothing comes close. I bought the Magnus MHA-01 Monopod Handle Adapter, which turns this into a excellent walking stick. I didn't buy this for the camera monopod, just a walking stick. The pink color isn't my first choice, but for the price I couldn't pass it up.
Better than expected
This walking/photo stick is very sturdy and well built. Light enough to carry yet heavy enough to feel secure - and even use it as a weapon during walking (hopefully you'll never need to). Totally height adjustable. I did try my Panasonic f1000 camera on it and it did hold it securely, as I was worried about the short bolt in the top.
Works well...
Sturdy but light, screws onto camera quickly, stable. Would be great if there was a fast way to extend when needed. I left it connected to my camera on a hike this week. The foam collar was a comfortable way to carry both, but of course made it useless as a walking stick. And made me carry the compass ball in my pocket :-) Practical as a walking stick or monopod, unless you're willing to spend a minute or two every time you want to switch functions.
sturdy and versatile product
Like this because can use this as an adjustable walking stick due to balance/support issues plus able to screw on a camera for taking pictures and if want to can use an optional stand / platform
Good walking around monopod
I have a crop sensor camera and 50mm or wider lenses so not much weight. It's just right for my gear plus I get a walking stick out of it, ta boot.
