    MeFOTO A35W reviews

WalkAbout Aluminum Monopod (Yellow) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super useful I'm retired and do a lot of hiking with camera gear in a backpack and a hickory walking stick.. I also have tremors (which I combat with 3 fps shooting). But that was not always enough to get the quality shot I wanted. Enter the MeFoto WalkAbout. Gives me the monopod I need to steady my trigger hand (macro wild flowers, butterflies and dragonflies)' and a solid walking staff for hiking over rough terrain. My family likes the added compass; as if I've ever lost my way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I needed a hiking stick that would support me (I'm over 200 lbs.), fit into my luggage, and also work as a monopod for my camera. The MeFoto walkabout met all my requirements. I'm 6'3 and the MeFoto adjusted to a comfortable height for walking, for my photography, and also collapsed short enough to fit into my luggage. I was able to stabilize my camera and get clear photos even at full zoom and macros. I would rate the MeFoto at 4.75 of 5. I had two complaints to cause a less than 5 rating. The bolt for mounting the camera cross threaded but not so badly as to make it unusable. I was able to clean up the threads and use the monopod. The other complaint was the bracket that holds the wrist strap on. It should be turned over so that it is not pointed down on the users hands. Both these complaints are very minor. I would recommend this to my friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stout Walking Stick and Monopod I bought this for an upcoming trip to Alaska and have been playing with it a few days. It feels very stout and supportive in the event my left knee gives me trouble as it sometimes does. It collapses down to a size that is easy to pack, yet extends to almost 60 inches so that even at 6'4 tall, it's not a problem to look thru the viewfinder on my Fuji X100T. The compass on top when not using a camera is a nice touch as well. Overall, I am very pleased with it and look forward to hiking in some great scenery in Alaska.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MeFoto WalkAbout walking stick& monopod A very sturdy walking stick, folds up and closes very quickly.. Excellent weapon if needed. I use mostly as a monopod and it works perfectly, a very secure attachment for my fuji bridge camera. I hope they make a swivel head for this monopod or else it will have limited use. It works well in the 1 position but i'm finding a swivel head would be the perfect answer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice monopod for the money I am very happy with this monopod and with the customer service of the company. I was attracted to this item because it doubles as a walking stick. It's not light as a result, but that's ok with me. An important advantage is that it supports 30 odd pounds of weight. It works very smoothly and looks great. Like the experience of another reviewer, I found that the compass in the knob had a large air bubble that made the compass useless. I notified the company when I registered the product, and the company sent me a replacement knob in about a week. So far, I am very happy with the product. Given my experience with the company, I have no doubt that I will receive excellent support should I need it in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great for both functions I use my MePhoto as both a walking stick (helpful for the arthritis) and monopod. It collapses far enough to be easily packable, is sturdy enough to support my weight, and provides much needed stability where a tripod is not allowed. The only read down side is its weight. I carry a lot of equipment already, and adding over a pound would not have been my preference. Also, one segment sticks open and closed, as others online have noted. But still, it has definitely been worth bringing the stick/monopod along.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded expectation! I weigh 280 lbs and recently had a hip replacement, so I got this to help get around while taking pictures. I was worried about how sturdy the item would be, but it was great it handle my weight with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MeFoto Walkabout A very study mononpod and walking stick that is compact and easy to carry. The compass is a nice touch, but I find I usually have the camera attached when I'm out taking pictures. Easily fits in a pack when not being used or lives under the seat of my car. I do a lot of nature photography and don't always want to carry a tripod along. This does a great job steadying the camera for coffee enhanced hands.
