SanDisk SDDR-329-A46 Reviews

It works well for large GB files.

I use this with my Hoodman Steel 128GB SD Card and it does work very well. The way you insert the SD Card could be improved but once you get the hang of it, it is ok. In addition you must have a fast computer to get all of the benefits of this reader. We us it with our Panasonic GH5 doing 4k 60FPS 10 bit recording, so files get very large quick.

much faster than ordinary card readers

Works well if you know how to insert the SD card!

This works well and is very fast for large files as advertised, BUT it will drive you nuts until you figure out how to insert the card. Retract the USB plug, push the card all the way into slot, then extend the USB plug. The card will be pulled into the housing. Now the device will insert into your computer. As for testing; all this device does is give you access to the UHS-II bus. The speed is dependent upon your SD card and the size of the file being written/read. In my testing there was little or no improvement using UHS-II for random read/writes on an Angelbird AV PRO SD. There was, however, stunning improvement for sequential read/writes - 3x faster. You also need to match a UHS-II card with a UHS-II reader, or you may lose half your card size. Also, should be obvious that your camera needs to be designed to handle the two rows of contacts on these cards.

very disapointment product especially from sandisk.

Got this reader for my lexar UHSII. what a dispointment result. It was even worse than my regular reader. from lexar USB 3. I tested it with several times. with all different card and the result is the same. SLOW. Did not expect this kind of false product from Sandisk. Unless it was a fake one. Don't buy this reader, not recommended. the below result is from sandisk using lexar 64gb UHSII is35-45mb. and got higher result from my 2 years old UHSI reader

It works as advertised. However, the slide is not smooth, so it takes longer time as you expect to be ready to use.

question

Hi, I already have the Lexar Dual slot reader 3.0 with the new Sandisk SD 32go UHS-II. What is the advantage of this new card-reader over my old dual slot ? I have already ask the question if the Dual slot reader would be fast enough to read the USH-II at full potential and you said Yes to me. Thank you
Asked by: Anonymous
The old dual slot card reader was for USB 2.0, so if you have a computer which supports USB 3.0 connections the new reader will be ten times faster.

question

I understand this is a new product. Even so, is it better than my SanDisk ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Reader/Writer? I like the fact this one is wireless and the one I have is not.
Asked by: Anonymous
The SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-II SD Reader/Writer is not a wireless device, but rather a single-slot USB card reader. This card reader can only be used with SD/SDHC/SDXC, whereas the Imagemate All-In-One device can be used with multiple card formats. The two devices have the same read/write speeds, however the Extreme Pro UHS-II SD Reader/Writer is optimized for UHS-II cards, and as well is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 interfaces, UHS-I cards, and non-UHS SD cards
