The D54250WYKH1 Mini PC NUC Kit from Intel is a compact system that fits in the palm of your hand and packs the performance of a dual-core Intel Core i5-4250U processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics 5000. It features two SODIMM slots that can accept up to 16GB of DDR3L 1333/1600 MHz of RAM. For long-term storage, it has room to hold a 2.5" hard drive or SSD as well as an mSATA drive connected to the full PCIe mini card slot. It also features a mini-HDMI and a mini DisplayPort to deliver high-definition content to your monitor or TV. In addition to outputting video, the system features an infrared sensor that you can use an optional remote to control it right from your couch.

What is the difference between the D54250WYKH and the D54250WYK? The price difference is very little. I can't find any explanation for the (H) designation for model number anywhere... please help figure out.
The (H) has a higher profile, which gives space for an SSD as an extra storage.

Can this take a 15mm high 2.5 drive? Or does it need a low profile 7 or 9 mm drive?
Only low profile 9mm 2.5 drive.

what else do i need besides memory ?????????
Besides paired memory (2 sticks of same size vs.one stick), an anti-static strap to install the parts, Phillips screw driver, a 2.5 Hard drive or M2 SSD or both, WIFI/Bluetooth card if you want the options, a USB keyboard & Mouse, A mini HDMI to HDMI cable/adapter for Video out is all you'll need to get started. You'll need OS software to install via an external CD/DVD drive or USB stick/drive. .
