What is the difference between a linear and a circular polarizing filter?
Asked by: James
• Linear polarizers are made up of a single component, whereas the circular polarizer requires a linear polarizer and a quarter wave plate. • Linear polarizers are used in sunglasses (Polaroid glasses) and tints. Circular polarizers are used in photographic filters, 3D glasses etc.

question

Is this bag deep enough to fit Alien Bees with hoods/reflectors attached?
Asked by: Pat J.
It might be a tight fit if you keep the alien bees in their own protective casing, however the front opening is flexible enough that I can store my 70-200mm standing up.

It should easily do as it's enormous. However, please note that it is too large to take in a flight as cabin baggage.

question

Are the velcro good quality and strong anough to keep gear in place even if there are empty rooms ? I'm very disappointed about the Manfrotto velcros which falls off and doesn't stay well..
Asked by: Romain S.
I have found the Velcro to be quite strong. No problems with items shifting during baggage handling. Recently took a load of gear to Europe and back.

question

Can you attach a tripod to the x300? I see that you can attach one to the x200.
Asked by: Angela M P.
People are saying yes because it does have two straps on the side. But I would just add that the straps are really for a small, very light weight tripod or light stand (carbon fiber?). Anything with some weight to it just slips downward out of the straps as you roll the case around.
