Lowepro Pro Roller x300 AW Overview

The black, modular Pro Roller x300 AW from Lowepro consists of both an impact-protective hard-shell exterior and a removable Reserve Pack with a backpack harness, which holds a significant amount of gear. It holds two DSLRs with grips, around ten lenses (up to a 600mm telephoto lens), flashes and accessories between padded MaxFit interior dividers. It also accommodates up to a 17" laptop inside an easy-access stretch pocket at the front, and features numerous interior and exterior pockets for accessories.

To transport the Pro Roller with the hard-shell exterior, there is a dual-button trolley handle, with a sleek zippered cover, and durable, smooth-gliding wheels. There are also flexible and comfortable top and side grab handles with leather backings. After removal, the Reserve Pack can be carried on your back using the backpack harness, or can be grabbed with the handle at its side.

Removable Reserve Pack unzips from hard-shell exterior, which has another zippered front flap, creating two separate cases
MaxFit divider system has thinner, yet stronger touch-fastened dividers, which can be inserted after you settle your gear to maximize the interior space
Durable urethane-cast wheels glide smoothly, are vibration resistant, and feature ABEC-5 rated bearings
Built-in all weather AW cover protects the entire Pro Roller from rain and dust
TSA-approved lock is built into the pack to lock zippers
Four zippered mesh pockets are on the inside of the front flap
No-drop front organization pocket features an interior organizer with various smaller pockets to organize your accessories

Unfortunately, the Pro Roller x300 AW does not meet the FAA requirements for a carry-on. It is too large.

question

Can this bag hold 2 bodies 5 lenses a 70200 2.8 and a profoto B2 with battery pack?
Asked by: Giovanni F.
It should easily do as it's enormous. However, please note that it is too large to take in a flight as cabin baggage.

question

I know the overall, exterior dimensions are too large to be carried on an airplane, but what are the dimensions of the removable reserve pack and does it meet the airline carry-on limitations?
Asked by: John G.
This case to too large for carry-on both as a complete bag and the removable pack. It needs to be checked-in

question

Can you attach a tripod to the x300? I see that you can attach one to the x200.
Asked by: Angela M P.
People are saying yes because it does have two straps on the side. But I would just add that the straps are really for a small, very light weight tripod or light stand (carbon fiber?). Anything with some weight to it just slips downward out of the straps as you roll the case around.

question

Is this bag deep enough to fit Alien Bees with hoods/reflectors attached?
Asked by: Patrick
It might be a tight fit if you keep the alien bees in their own protective casing, however the front opening is flexible enough that I can store my 70-200mm standing up.

question

Are the velcro good quality and strong anough to keep gear in place even if there are empty rooms ? I'm very disappointed about the Manfrotto velcros which falls off and doesn't stay well..
Asked by: Romain S.
The Velcro on the dividers is strong and stays in place. I am hard on my equipment and the dividers do nor move even after alot of use.
