Lowepro Pro Roller x100 AW Overview

The black, modular Pro Roller x100 AW from Lowepro consists of both an impact-protective hard-shell exterior and a removable Reserve Pack with a backpack harness, which holds a significant amount of gear. It holds two DSLRs with grips, around six lenses (up to a 400mm telephoto lens), flashes and accessories between padded MaxFit interior dividers. It also accommodates up to a 15" laptop inside an easy-access stretch pocket at the front, and features numerous interior and exterior pockets for accessories.

TERRIBLE DIVIDER SYSTEM

This bag does NOT comfortably fit two DSLR's like in the picture. TERRIBLE DIVIDER SYSTEM. The hard portions of the dividers limit how you can fit your cameras with lenses attached. Also, The bottom of the bag is NOT FLAT. It outlines the telescoping handle.

The compartments are laid out very strategically and securely for storing camera equipment needed for a photo event. Easy to maneuver. Fantastic product.

Compact, High Quality materials, rolls. The only downside is the bag tends to topple over when in an upright position with a full load.

Instead of lugging 2 backpacks when flying this fits our needs perfectly,My partner and I can now travel with two camera bodies and with our own choice of lenses, spare batteries, charger, cables in one neat package that fits in the over head storage compartment Hoorahhh

For airline carry on... perfect! Durable handle for pulling, wheels well built, strong zippers, TSA lock. Interior is well padded with plenty of room. Not as big as the 200 that I also have, but the 100 is the right size for carry on.

I love this bag for travelling, small enough to get into even small regional jets overheads. Carries everything I need

I love this bag. While the other Pro Rollers are great, I was looking for something small. I am mobility impaired and previously put my photography equipment in my backpack wrapped in bubble wrap. This is far more protective, I can easily find the items I need, and it is not too large for me to manage.

How do you work the lock? Just got this bag and can't figure it out. No instructions.
Asked by: Adam
"The factory setting is 000. 1.) With the lock cable engaged, (setting 000) hold down the silver button located on the side of the lock, while rotating the numbers to the desired (new) setting. 2.) Release the silver button at the new lock setting. 3.) The lock is now set to the new setting. Be sure to note this 3-digit setting in case you forget."

question

Since the Lowepro Pro Roller x300 AW does not meet airline carry-on restrictions, does the Lowepro Pro Roller x100 AW and the Lowepro Pro Roller x200 AW meet airline carry-on restrictions?
Asked by: Anonymous
I have the x100AW, and it fits perfectly in the airline overhead, even crammed with gear. I like this case, plenty of room and fits overhead fine.

question

Can two DSLRs with lenses be placed side-by-side in the bag? That's what one of the images suggest...
Asked by: Oren
I have two Canon 5D's, one with a 24-105 L lens on it, the other one with a 24-200 1.2 L lens (both big and heavy) and then I also carry a Sigma DG 200-400 (the biggest of the three) plus a Canon Speedlite Flash, two battery chargers, a small telescope and misc. lens cleaners spare lens covers and a timer for time lapse photography. It weighs a ton (not the bag, just the equipment) and there is still room for my laptop so the wheels and backpack straps are great for travel. I strongly recommend it.

question

So do owners of this case- do you keep your lenses in their cases or is that too bulky? Are you comfortable leaving them out of their padding like my 100-400L case? I am rather touchy about that lens (my favorite). Thx
Asked by: Brian K.
I keep them out of the cases. There is a lot of padding on the inside of this roller and it is very protected. I have been using this for 6 months and love it!

Is this bag checkable on a short flight <3 hours? Safe/tough enough?
Asked by: Brian K.
I took mine Roller x100 AW from Dulles to Canada in a small airplane, it fitted nicely under the seat in front of you.

question

Can a canon 70-200 f/2.8 stand up in the bag or does it have to be laying down?
Asked by: Maria S.
No. This bag is not thick enough. The 70-200 f4 will fit standing up, but the f2.8 is about an inch too tall. You'll have to lay it down.
