    Lowepro LP36658 reviews

Passport Sling III (Gray & Orange) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Portable, but not great protection I was disappointed with this bag. I bought it to fill in for my regular bag on a trip where luggage space was limited and my carry-on camera bag was inappropriate for hiking. This did pack down flat and expanded to have room for a DSLR and two lenses, as well as a couple compacts and a can of bug spray. I also liked the interior zippered pocket that held filters, spare batteries and my wallet. What I didn't like was the lack of padding on the inside and the difficulty of getting the removable insert to stay put. The insert just never seemed sturdy enough to adequately protect the lenses. I also wasn't happy that there seemed no way to secure the exterior pockets. Overall it was OK and definitely portable, but not a bag I would generally rely on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Bag for Unspecified Day Shoots and Site Seeing Very good bag for a day shoot when nothing specific planned. Easily holds my 1DX, a 24-70mm and 70-200mm lens plus one flash unit and remote triggering device. Room for spare batteries, lens cleaning supplies and even a place for my iPad. While there is sufficient padding to hold each lens and flash securely, the interior of the remaining bag could use a layer of additional padding to better protect my camera. Not really much of an issue however because this sling allows me to cross my chest, keeping the bag secure, next to my side, and free from those who would attempt to snatch it from a shoulder carry position. Especially nice for travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great travel bag Just rerme from a 2 week trip to the Galapagos islands and Machu Picchu. I carried the bag all day every with my P900, batteries, charger, cards, etc, a rain shell, a down vest, passports, various meds, sunscreen, water bottle, etc. It was wonderful. Wasn't too heavy to carry, and everything was readily available. Worked well on wet landings as well as hikes. When i didn't need the extra clothes, i just zipped up the gusset. But most the time it was full. It even performed as an overnighter for machu Picchu very well. Will be using it as my primary bag from now on. Is very adaptable for my DSLR, lenses, and accessories and still easy to carry. Couldn't have asked for a better travel bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bag for the price...... I bought this Passport Sling III so I can take my Canon 7d Mark II (+ spare lens) on a cruise without taking my big bag. Haven't gone on the cruise yet but I believe this will work out nicely. I have been using as an everyday bag since I purchased it. The only reason why I would not give this 5 stars was that I thought there should be more padding on the bottom of the bag to protect your gear when setting the bag down. I just added a small piece of foam to the bottom and I am all good with it. The bag will hold a DSLR with a lens and 2 spare lens. Can't wait to test it out on the cruise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from expandable and contractable I don't have a lot of gearmainly a lumix micro 4/3 with fixed lens, extra battery and charger. i use the bag for work (mostly event and site documentation )and transfer anything like a notebook, wallet, and phone easily to the camera bag for onsite shoots. it's compact enough with these few items. i may get a zoom lens, lens cleaner materials, and another card, which the bag has plenty of room for and expands without a hitch. I like the ease of the bag either slung over my left shoulder or across my chest, which keeps all gear accessible as I shoot. and i like the designsnappy and my preferred colors. my team and i are very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bag I bought the bag because a. I wanted a bag that could double as a travelling handbag but could easily carry all my camera stuff. b. I wanted a bag where I could easily get to my camera while carrying the bag.(No taking it off my shoulder/s.) c. It was comfortable to walk around with it on my shoulder. Because it is a sling bag, I knew that all my stuff was secure. d. I was able to get in a tremendous amount of non-camera stuff as well. Only con: There's only one zippered pocket inside. It would have been great to have an additional one to stash small items.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sling is the thing Last Christmas I bought an earlier iteration of the Passport Sling for my daughter. She thought it looked like a purse, so I got her something else and began carrying my full-frame SLR with three lenses and flash in it. It's one of those why didn't I have this my whole (40 year) photojournalist career. Why? SLR drops into the center section, with up to a 135 F2 tele. A 28, 50, 2xextender for the tele, and small flash ... in the inside sections. Carry small stuff in the outside pockets, such as boarding passes, notebook, lens cleaner, etc. However, the big advantage is being able to draw the camera and shoot like a gunslinger, and safely change lenses on the fly ... the bag never leaving your shoulder. I've now carried it for a year ... in my truck, through airports, and in the field. I have another Lowepro backpack with other lenses that I'll load the sling as appropriate. The sling is a useful concept.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice casual camera bag I used the bag immediately, traveling by air to a city where I spent most of my time walking. I carried a DSLR with two lenses. It is not a stiff bag. This is good, because it is not heavy. It can be a drawback, since it only roughly keeps its shape even with the divider insert. The insert itself has a suprising number of velcro chunks scattered around, with no written examples for their use. You have to fiddle a bit and guess at their uses.
