The 4.5-27x56 Razor HD Gen II Riflescope from Vortex combines a high-transmission lens system and weather-sealed 34mm main-tube to create a versatile optic for mid to long-range targeting. Vortex uses an apochromatic objective lens and optically indexed Extra-low Dispersion (HD) glass elements to maximize the light gathering ability of the optics while minimizing chromatic aberration and preserving clarity. The resulting images are bright and sharp throughout the zoom range.

This Razor HD scope is configured with a EBR-2C MRAD reticle in the first focal plane (FFP). The EBR-2C MRAD pattern is an illuminated duplex-style variant with medium-weight posts at three, six, and nine o'clock that taper to a fine crosshair. Stadia lines on the horizontal and vertical crosshairs aid in ranging, calculating hold-over, and ballistic-drop compensation. The reticle illumination is controlled using a click-stop wheel on the side focus turret. The illuminator has eleven brightness settings, and an Off position between each setting allows the shooter to quickly return to their previously-used level of illumination without cycling through other settings.

The scope main-tube is machined from a single piece of aluminum, anodized with a corrosion-resistant matte-black finish, and filled with argon gas to ensure fogproof and waterproof performance. Exposed lens surfaces are protected with Vortex's proprietary ArmorTek scratch-resistant coating that also repels moisture and dirt.

4.5-27x56 Razor HD Gen II Riflescope (EBR-2C MRAD Reticle) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't be disappointed! I own over 15 vortex optics but this is my first Razor HD. I was hesitant about spending the extra money for the HD version considering all my other Vortex Optics are top knotch and Crystal clear, but I'm glad I did. I got this for a 6.5 creedmoor build and all I can say is WOW! This is a beast, difference between day and night. This scope is in a class of it's own. Well built, like a tank. Easy to see and use turrets. Turrets lock down so no way of accidental moving. Looking through this scope you see a world of difference. This is by far the best scope on the market! You will not regret buying this scope!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to competition scope. I own 4 of the Gen 2 Razors and use them in National level Precision Rifle Series and NRL matches. Every single one has been rock solid with not a single quality issue or failure. I have seen scopes go down at rifle matches from about every other top end manufacturer, I have never seen a Gen 2 Razor fail the user at any of the events I have attended. One of our catch phrases of the top end shooters in recommending gear is "buy once cry once" well I have bought the Gen 2 four times and never cried once. I know I am getting the best product for my money with this optic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck in high end optics Using this to hit and spot for other people shots out to 1000 yards on the range. Excellent light transmission with a giant magnification range. Excellent tactile turret feedback when zeroing and setting the zero stop feature. Half-step illumination on-off is nice. Reticle is very useful with hashes for windage and drop for quick followups with dialing. Lifetime warranty without registration that also transferable on this model. It may seem expensive, but you'll have a bit of a hard time finding an optic with the reproduceability, clarity, and warranty of this one. The only possible downside would be the weight, which is every bit of 3 pounds. For a long range/bench rifle though, it may not be an issue or even be a benefit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure Joy The quality of the glass as well as operation of this optic is hands down the best or second to the best (when compared to the AMG). The eye box is extremely user friendly. The turrets are solid and defined making dialing in shots precise and exact. The only two things I could nit pick about this optic is the color and the reticle. The open cross hairs is nice but the reticle on the AMG EBR7 with the floating cross hairs appears to be a much better option for precision since it clears up some of that clutter around the optimum target area. If there could be a black paint option and another reticle option as well, I am sure it would surpass the AMG for units sold and used! It is a bit pricey but pay once, cry once!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scope Perfection I'm a very satisfied Gen I Razor owner, but found myself needing a new scope. The Razor Gen II isn't just a new price tag on another barely modified scope. In my opinion the reticle and turrets are perfection - great feel, great glass & repeatable performance. In a PRS style match the gun and scope are going to get banged around and the turrets are going to get twisted over and over throughout the day - this is why I absolutely love the locking turrets and their feel and most of all the repeatable performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Optics - Rugged & Reliable Put the Gen II Razor HD 4.5 - 27X on my competition rifle for PRS and have been extremely happy with it's performance. The optics are exceptional, the tracking is spot on, turret locks are sturdy and fool-proof, zero stop systems is the best I've seen. I put this scope through a lot and it doesn't skip a beat. It's heavy, but that's not a real issue on a 20 pound rifle, but might consider the AMG instead for a hunting rifle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proud owner of a Vortex Gentleman II I've been looking at this scope for a long time. It is used by more long range shooters than any other by some writers accounts. Finally got a MPA Bolt rifle in 308 that needed the best scope I could get. After looking at way to many web sites, I found B&H had the best price around. They got it to me in record time. Finally got my gun and scope together at the range and I was very impressed. Easy to operate and some of the best glass I have used. I've already turn several of my range friends towards B&H.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Go To Optic I picked this guy up and I could not be happier with what I got for the money I spent. This baby rides on top of my match rifle. Although it is heavy... it holds up like a tank when banged around. I can honestly say this scope has taken more of beating than it should, but it still performs flawlessly. The glass is insanely clear, the turrets and reticle have tested true.
