The 1-6x24 Razor HD GEN II Riflescope from Vortex combines a high-transmission lens system and weather-sealed 30mm maintube to create a versatile optic for close to midrange targeting. Vortex uses an apochromatic objective lens and optically indexed extra-low dispersion (HD) glass elements to maximize the light gathering ability of the optics while minimizing chromatic aberration and preserving clarity. The resulting images are bright and sharp throughout the zoom range.

This Razor HD scope is configured with a VMR-2 MOA duplex reticle on the second focal plane (SFP). The reticle illumination is controlled using a dedicated turret. The illuminator has eleven brightness settings, and an Off position between each setting allows the shooter to quickly return to their previously used level of illumination without unnecessary cycling through other settings.

The scope's housing is machined from aluminum, and features a scratch- and corrosion-resistant anodized finished, and is argon filled to ensure fogproof and waterproof performance. Exposed lens surfaces are finished with ArmorTek, Vortex's proprietary scratch-resistant coating that also repels moisture and dirt. This scope is backed by Vortex's lifetime warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from unexpected greatness i purchased this for 3gun because everyone said it was the greatest thing .... i am a believe it when i see it kind of guy ... and i am a believer now , this optic is by far the best optic and reticle i have ever used ... i am just mad at myself for not getting it sooner than i did quality, crystal clear lens, and with the quick throw lever makes this a perfect set up for 3 gun and i am going to get another for my tactical rifle as well .... all of that and with the warrenty they have i dont see how anyone else is going to stay in business

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead On The illuminated reticle made it so much easier to take my pronghorn at 207 yards as it was approaching night. The clarity of this scope is unbelievable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Scope The variable power makes this a very good rifle scope for short distances up to 100 yards- past that, more magnification would be a plus. The optics are clean and sharp, and the changeable intensity of the red dot is nice for low light to open sun. ... While beginner might think this is a pricey scope, it's really reasonably priced compared to much more expensive scopes. Note, though that you will also need to purchase a mount, and would do well to purchase Razor's flip-up caps to cover the front and rear objectives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent glass clarity and built like a tank! I put the Razor HD Gen II 1-6 on my SCAR 17, which are known to be tough on optics. The Razor is tough and can easily handle the recoil of the 7.62X51MM. The glass is clear and is great in low light. The red dot is is perfect at 1X for both eyes open shooting like a red dot. The JM-1 reticle is VERY easy to use, especially in conjunction with the LRBC. I hope Vortex adds the JM-1 reticle on other optics in its line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trust with my life!! I used the HD2 1-6 optic for multiple combat deployments and training "work-up" cycles. During my troop's CQC training block I was able to compare the optic against the standard issue Holographic sight. While shooting the standard high/low ready my time compared to my troops was negligible, quick target engagement was equal. The benefits that come with a variable power optic far out weight the minimal time advantages from the holographic sight. Low power (1-6/8) variable optics should become the standard issue for all troops, the durability, reliability, and versatility of the optic are the individuals' best option for the "One Optic to Rule them all!!!" 80% of the time the "Jack of all triads" type optic is better than a master of one. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope for 3-gun for less than the competitor After owning several other high-dollar scopes, I ended up with the Razor HD GEN ii 1-6 with the JM-1 reticle. This scope creates a perfect balance between optical clarity, field of view, and a usable reticle. Much like most recreational shooters, 3-gun competitors don't typically dial their DOPE to get hits at extended distances. The JM-1 Reticle does a great job providing hold-over points that correspond to POI down range. On the other hand, 3-gun competitors need a scope with true 1x capability with excellent field of view in order to quickly engage targets from 0-50 yards as well. This optic does the job very well. Pared with the VIP warranty, you can rest assured that the optic will provide excellent performance while maintaining it's value for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Scope EVER! I’ve been so happy with this scope! It’s the first high end scope that I bought and now plan on purchasing more. The glass is absolutely crystal clear and the eye relief is amazing. Hooked for life! #VortexNation

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my god This glass is crystal clear. Focus is clear adjustment knobs have positive clicks. No distortion while magnifying. Illuminated dot is round not oblong like so many other companies. True both eyes open on 1 power. Not many scopes give that to you. Your getting quality way past the cost of this 1400 scope. not to mention if anything goes wrong you have your very own pro support team that will help you get your optic back up and running. I'm using the JM1 reticle and the bullet drop is spot on. If your debating buyin this scope, buy with confidence. Everyone that shoots this at the range goes oh my god. My rifle sees lots of use being a firearms instructor, competitor and former Special Forces Engineering Sargent. I wish this was the optic I was issued while on active duty. Thanks Vortex for the amazing gear!
