Alcantara Replacement Ear Pads for the SRH1540 Closed-Back Headphones (Pair) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Incarnate These pads are likely some of the most comfortable aftermarket replacement pads available. Especially when you consider that these make excellent replacements for the Fostex T50RP mk3 headphones compared to what comes with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use as replacement pads for the Fostex T50RP MKIII They're quite comfortable, and a lot more breathable than the stock pads on the t50RP MKIII. Over time, they do less to allow heat to build up inside the ear cups and they also accommodate my ears quite well. (I would say I have medium sized ears, though a bit higher than normal. They fit within these ear pads just fine.) They're comfortable and easy to wear for long periods, so I can recommend these for any headphone that will take them - unless you have larger ears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Fostex T20rp... I found these to be amazing replacements for the T20/40/50rp series. The SRH1840 pads are also very comfortable, but don't offer the same isolation or bass response these pads give you. Both were much better than the HM pads I tried. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful to look at and comfortable to wear! I bought a pair of these to put on my Fostex T50RP mk3. They look great, fit perfectly, and can be worn all day with zero fatigue. They don't take any of the sound away by swapping them with the T50RP mk3 stock pads. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Money These pads are very soft & comfortable. I prefer the material over the leathery one's most headphones come stock with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ear pads for Fostex T50RP-mk3 These ear pads work great. I put them on my Fostex T50RP-mk3 and anything is better that those pancake (word that rhyme's with Frappy) ones that are thin and sandwich your ear to the driver, however these pads would improve nearly every stock ear pad which they are designed to fit. They seem to breath better than the BOSE SoundTrue II stock pads as these have many little holes in them and the material itself seems to breath a little bit. I understand one headphone is semi-open and the other is closed, making the breath-ability of the cup different, but I'm just comparing the material. Didn't seem to change the sound much, maybe reduced the bass a smidgen, but I can wear these for several hours at a time, and with glasses. I haven't compared the Alcantara to the Brainwavz - Hybrids but don't feel I need to b/c I'm satisfied, though the latter are $10 cheaper. These feel like they'll last a long time. As far as installation goes, they are tight but seem to fit no tighter than the stock ones. They are tight to put on the FOSTEX's, but I would be careful not to bump the drivers with your finger/knuckle as you put the pads on. In putting these on, with the flap behind the pad, I suggest pinching (putting pressure) on the starting point **and** the current segment that is completely in the groove while you maneuver the last bit of the flap into the groove so that it doesn't slip off as you finish the process, all while pushing from the inside with two fingers (no finger nails).
