Ape Case Large Tech Overview

  • 1Description

The grey and orange Large Tech Messenger Case from Ape Case is an ideal size bag for a DSLR camera with a lens plus an additional lens and a flash or other similarly sized accessory. You can wear the bag across your body or over your shoulder.

An exterior zippered pocket gives you top access to any tablet 11" or smaller. This pocket can be used to hold other accessories as well, such as filters or memory cards. The cover flap is held closed via a hook-and-loop attachment, and when opened, the customizable main compartment unzips to reveal a Hi-Vis yellow interior, making it easy to organize and see your camera gear. A padded shoulder strap adds comfort when carrying the case. Large zipper pulls make zipping and unzipping the case with easy one hand.

    Ape Case Large Tech Reviews

Large Tech Messenger Case (Grey & Orange) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good... I bought this bag for my daughter to take along with her on a trip to Australia. I wanted something smallish, but large enough for her to carry a small DSLR (a Nikon D3200 with a lens or two) and her Kindle in one bag. This seems to fit the need. It's big enough for the camera with a standard zoom lens mounted, and there's room for a second lens, all in the main compartment, while the the other compartment can hold her Kindle and a few other thin items. The pull tabs on the zippers make it easy for her to grab, the zippers seem to work well, and the brightly colored interior makes it easy to find things. Plus, she liked the teal color of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, spacious bag This bag is beautiful (specifically, the teal), lightweight, and very well-made. There is plenty of room in the main compartment for both my Fuji X-M1 with 50-230mm lens (and lens hood, backward) attached and the 16-50mm lens as well. I could probably also squeeze my 27mm prime lens in there, too. The zipper is very smooth to open and close and, while I'm generally not a big fan of velcro, the velcro holding down the flap seems strong. The top zipper compartment is plenty big to hold my wallet, phone, a small book, extra battery, and lens hood. The crossbody strap is fully adjustable and so far doesn't slip around. Great purchase and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy & Comfortable I love to take photos around New York City, but was unable to fit my camera with lens hood in my camera bag. Was time to get a bigger bag, that would hold all my gear. Allot of bags, were just to big, uggly, and screamed camera bag. Guy at B&H photo showed me the Ape Case. Couldn't believe how nice, and roomy it was. It was well padded, but, best of all, it was stylish, didn't look like a camera bag, at all. It comes in three cool colors. Everywhere I go, people really compliment me on how nice the bag is, and they love the color. Now I know most photographers don't care how their gear bag looks. They are more interested in protecting their expensive equipment. But, to be able to protect your camera, and look cool doing it, whats not to like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I received this product and loved the colors immediately! I was looking for a cute and stylish bag that could carry my camera and a few purse items, and that is what I got with this bag. I put my Nikon D70 in one side and place my wallet and phone in the other part next to my camera. But what I love about is that it looks like a purse not a camera bag!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice camera case Nice camera case, just fits my Canon 60D on its back with 18-135 lens mounted. There is room for an extra lens. There's a handy zipped compartment at the back that fits an iPad and misc things like ID, SD cards, phone, etc. I gave it 4/5 stars only because the velcro that holds the flap down is so strong that it is not easily (or quietly) opened.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ape Case bag I like the styling of this bag and the fact that it doesn't scream camera bag. It has plenty of compartments and pockets, works perfectly with my Mirrorles body with lens, plus an extra lens and all accessories you may need. The reason for only 4 starts is massive velcro fastener under the orange flap. When you need to pull out camera, bag makes loud velcro noise and requires both hands to pry it open.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Convenient Bag I was looking for a bag to take when I just have my Canon 40D with Tamron 16-300 lens attached and I don't want or need a lot of accessories. I have a Kata backpack and a Tamrac shoulder bag but they are too large and bulky to carry when all I need is the camera and 1 lens. The Ape Case Large Tech Messenger fits my 40D with 16-300 although it is a bit snug. I tried a couple of other small bags but they were either too small or they were obviously camera bags. I like the look of this bag and it does not scream camera when you are carrying it. As I said, my 40D with 16-300 attached does fit in the main compartment a little snugly but not too snug to make it hard to get out. The outside zipper pouch fits a small filter pouch, the hard case for my sunglasses and a couple other miscellaneous items which is convenient. I also like that the shoulder strap adjusts on both sides so you can make it fairly short and still keep the strap pad in the middle. The strap, when lengthened all the way, is long enough to wear crossbody. If I could make one change, it would be to add a little width (front to back) so that it fits the 40D a little better. Hubby's Canon T5 with Canon 55-250 zoom attached fits great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Choice Bag is well designed amd constructed. It is lightweight. Size handles a SLR and more. Have other Ape Case bags and they have performed well. Am very satisfied with the purchase.
