    Axis Communications 5900-294 reviews

T8133 30W High Power over Ethernet Indoor Midspan is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I had 2 fail in less than 8 months I purchased 2 of these with 2 Axis P5635-E cameras that are installed in two separate buildings. Both cameras showed a Not enough power to run PTZ and Video error after a few months. I replaced them with the older Axis T8123 mid spans I had as spares and have not had an issue since. I tested them on another camera (P5414-e)back at the shop with a short cable run and neither could push enough power through 6' of cable to run the camera. Just to note I have had the older units fail only after years of use and have over 3 dozen Axis P and Q series cameras running. The older Axis T8123 Mid-Spans are also rated higher at .73A at 55v vs the .6A at 55v of the newer ones which is disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well-built, no problems so far I purchased this PoE injector to power my Axis P5415-E PTZ dome camera. I elected to spend more for this unit rather than one of the TrendNet units I have used in the past due to the location of the camera and the cost risk if the PoE damaged the camera. This unit is a magnitude better in construction and design than the TrendNet PoE units I have used. This is a single-piece unit with mounting ears to screw this to a flat surface. The shell is durable plastic or metal, with a reassuring hefty feel. The power connection is a standard three-prong computer-style power cord; there is no separate wall wart-style power supply. The other end of the unit has the in-from-LAN, out-to-PoE-device connections. At twice the price of my TrendNet units, this was a step up. But I believe this unit also has more power delivery capability, and I feel better about using an Axis-brand PoE injector with my Axis camera. I have no reservations about putting this into service 2600 miles away from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great PoE Midspan The Axis T8133 is much more compact than the older models, allowing easier placement in cramp boxes. The power cord is about 3' long and very flexible. It also runs cool. As far as mounting, the slots are small; size 6 screw or smaller needed. This model is actually the Microsemi PD-9001GR.
