I have it plugged into my 4K LED big screen and Nikon D810. It does a great job displaying 1080 movies and high resolution stills directly from the camera.

This cable, HC-E1 is 9 feet, 7 inches long according to Nikon. The item's picture shows the actual cable. That substantial length is very useful between camera and a monitor or TV that is 4 feet or more away. This item is not, repeat NOT the short 18 cable in the title, used between a camera and a small monitor mounted on the camera's hot shoe. Another review about a short cable may have been transferred from a different product. A competing brand is 6 feet long, too short if the cable is looped around a tripod to take strain off the camera's HDMI connector. I use this cable between a camera on a tripod w dolly, and otherwise move it. A variety of websites suggest BEING SURE to turn camera OFF when plugging in or removing HDMI cables, if the electrical grounds have not been measured at receptacles or power supplies.

I like the length. with the size of my TV screen,a longer cable would be okay. However,I am very pleased with this cable and I would buy it again.
