The EXP7x Expander from Rane is an eight-channel high performance Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) conferencing solution for the HAL1x. Each channel can be added to the HAL1x system input and routed to any Halogen DSP block, including the manual mixer, gain-sharing auto-mixer, regular room-combine block, or conference-room combine block. Preset recall can re-assign an AEC resource across inputs / rooms, as each channel is not associated with a particular hardware input. The unit features drag and drop support for assigning a one-AEC-per-microphone configuration, but multiple resources may be mixed into a single AEC channel, significantly reducing costs. A total of 32 EXP7x units may be daisy-chained offering up to 256 assignable AEC channels. The EXP7x ships with a standard IEC power cable.
