The Red Dive Filter for the HERO3/3+/4 Standard Housing from GoPro is a color correction filter that prevents cyan color cast in blue saltwater and clear fresh water, such as in the Bahamas and other tropical locations. These waters naturally produce such color cast in cameras, and the filter instead enables you to capture accurate colors. It can be used in depths between 15 and 70 ft.

The filter snaps into place for tool-free installation, and features scratch-resistant, optical-grade glass designed to ensure optimal image clarity. A tether to secure the filter to the housing and a carrying bag are included.

Red Dive Filter for HERO3/3+/4 Standard Housing is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reduced editing time Adding this filter to the front of the GoPro housing corrected the lightening under water to about 20 feet. Certainly that would vary with how sunny the sky above the diving space is but this was my average. Editing shots of formations and wildlife under water was made significantly easier with the balance of the shots being so much closer to natural before I even started working on them. I did some shots without the filter a few times and the difference is very notable.
