Rosco Gaffer Tape Overview

This roll of white Roscoe GaffTac Gaffer Tape is 2" wide and 165' long. It is designed to meet the everyday challenges faced by professionals in theater, television, filmmaking and photography, and can be used for virtually every application where a strong bond, no-residue, easy tearing, smooth, matte-finish tape is needed.

This gaffer tape is manufactured using a premium-quality polyethylene-coated cloth laminate with a natural rubber-based adhesive. This unique adhesive offers high tack with excellent adhesion yet still removes cleanly without leaving behind any sticky residue. It's also easily tearable, which means there is no need for cutting tools. The fine mesh weave of the cloth laminate base is resistant to edge fraying and offers a smooth, matte surface with minimal sheen - ideal for remaining "invisible" on set, in the grid or in frame. In addition, the supple fabric base conforms well to irregular areas to ensure a good bond on a variety of surfaces.

I use a lot of Gaffer tapes for a lot of projects. This tape is too shiny and has a smooth surface kind of like grey tape. I prefer the tapes with more of a cloth-like finish.

I've got plenty of standard gaffer's tape, some good and some bad, but recently took on a special task that requires a high-tac product that leaves no adhesive residue when removed. This Rosco tape is exactly what I've been looking for. I couldn't be happier with its performance. Five stars!

This gaffer tape tears easily, is very strong and comes off without a fuss - and without leaving residue behind. I use it a lot.

Feels super cheap

It feels extremely cheap and not very durable compared to the cloth style of gaffer tape but the adhesive is just a good as you'd expect from any gaff tape out there.

question

What is the correct temperature range for this tape? From the description it says the low end is either 31 degrees F or -35 C. Which is it? Is it just below freezing, or is it way, way below the temperatures here in the contiguous 48?
Asked by: Kevin
I may not be the one to answer that question about the cold factors of the tape, sine I live in Florida, and have not ever had occasion to use it in very cold weather. But, I can tell you it works great in hot weather.

question

for that price for 3 gaffers tapes, is true?
Asked by: Pedro Ivan B.
No, if you read the description closely it says black; not white, gray and black like I was under the impression from when I saw the photo.
