    Domke M-CROSS-CT reviews

Next Generation Crosstown Courier Camera Bag (Tan Cordura) is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I agree with the poor rating given by the prior reviewer Here is my opinion about these bags. I was amazed when Domke introduced these new bags and priced them in the stratosphere. The price was never warranted and, even the new discount pricing, is too high. The new divider system is useless---Domke is trying to be too clever, trying to come up with something new. But, none of it replaces what formerly made Dome great. And, yes, the plastic clips on the shoulder straps are the cheapest pieces of junk. Shame on Domke for these new bags and trying to steal from customers through exorbitant pricing for stylish looking, but inferior seeming products. Domke deserves to lose money on these losers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the Domke I know. I've owned many Domke bags over the years and have loved every one, until now. I was hoping for a slightly larger version of my beloved F-5XB, but that is not what this bag is. I have a lot of issues with this bag. 1. Domke bags have always been soft and pliable. This Cordura nylon is stiff and abrasive. Even the back of the bag is Cordura which will damage any wool or cotton clothing it rubs against. (Tamrac and Lowepro never put Cordura on the back of their bags.) 2. The hardware is cheap. Others have mentioned the plastic clips on the strap, but I am most concerned about the zipper. It is not the heavy duty type that you get on the F-5XB. It is a fine-toothed, light duty zipper that I doubt would be very durable. 3. Most importantly, the bag is not very easy to use. The top zipper does not extend down the sides. This makes the top opening basically a slit. My camera equipment is not very large - Fuji X-Pro2 and primes - and I find it very challenging to get anything in or out of the bag. That alone is a deal breaker. Lastly - Domke has always proudly displayed the American flag with the made in USA label on the inside of it's bags. I can find no label, anywhere that says where this bag is made. Moving manufacturing overseas, using inferior materials and charging higher prices is a marketing strategy that I believe Domke will regret. Sorry B&H - this one is going straight back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bag for Mirrorless Kit Since moving adding an Olympus OMD EM1 kit, I have struggled finding the perfect bag. The Next Generation Crosstown Courier bag from Domke gives me one bag that I can use in almost every scenario. Need a bag to just carry you camera one lens and flash, remove the side pockets. Need to carry 3 lenses, flash and other items add the pockets back. Knowing how durable Dmoke bags are this one should last me longer than the camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad little bag Bought it when on sale for $50, at which price it seemed rude not to buy it. I'm a long time Domke fan, and this bag does seems slightly different in style from my previous ones...perhaps a little flimsier in construction, and not that well balanced - it has a habit of falling forward or back when put down, and I don't like the way the strap has too much movement forward and back where it attaches to the bag. On the plus side, it holds a small camera kit well, and looks as good as usual. On the whole good, but not worth the full price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ipad only fits without any case tightly I heard so many good recommendation about domke bags before. I purchased this bag knowing that it had plastic swivel hardware and made out of Cordura but for its smaller size and weight I did not care much about those. The reason I purchased the bag was that it could be perfect in size (being small) for my mirrorless and had separate padded storage for ipad 9.7. My complain is that it would not let my i pad 9.7 in with its cover. My ipad 9.7 would barely fit in without protective cover. My cover adds only 3/16 not even a 1/4 in total length and still it cannot fit in. So disappointed. Otherwise it would have been perfect. I will have to be risking my ipad carried without protection using this bag which I do not think is worth it. Now I have to look for another small bag to carry both camera and ipad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Praise this bag again I ordered another set while price still low. And I will go on a two days Disney Cruise this week. I packed this bag with a 6D, 24-70/2.8 and 70-200/F4 a couple of battery, not too heavy, and not bulky at all. I took down the two side pocket make it less noticeable. I got a lot of grandkids on board, ready to take some pictures. This bag really is well thought out. I have to give it justice when due.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ipad One review mentioned he can not fit iPad in the bag. I tried , sure it it would not go in with the cover. However, I found a place inside the bag the iPad can fit in. That is the space between padding and the skin of the bag. It fits perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made, but not enough dividers Not my first Domke bag. Well made as always, and I like it and am keeping it, but it does not have enough dividers for the center compartment. Pretty expensive for what it is.
