I need to take HDMI signal from either a canon C100 or Canon G21 and send to an aja capture card for video switching. This could be a much cheaper alternative to a wireless Tx/Rx system. will this work for this application?
Asked by: John
The Camplex CMX-HDMIF could work as an HDMI extension for this application, though you will also need the Fiber Optic cabling from point A to point B as well such as a Camplex Fiber optic ST to ST cable. CAMS9STST030 is a 30m cable for example: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/993035-REG/hybrid_fiber_systems_sms9_st_st_030_9u_125u_singlemode_simplex_st.html

I’m looking for a unit like this but for Multi Mode long distances cable
Asked by: Andrew
Hi there. These units are designed for single mode fiber. For multimode, check out the Camplex CMX-HDMI-SFP. That kit supports multimode transmission up to 1000 feet. Thank you! -Camplex

question

Hi, which cable should be used with this kit, Camplex CMX-HDMIF ?Do you sell them?
Asked by: Frank M.
Our part# HF-T1SM-ST-(length in feet) would be the correct fiber to use. Any high speed HDMI cables will do for the rest. Thanks!

question

Will the signal from the receiver unit be a compatible HDMI feed into a Blackmagic ATEM switcher?
Asked by: Anonymous
We have not tested with the specific unit you mention. In the quick-view manual you can compare the frame rates and resolutions of the Camplex item versus those of black magic (but i was unable to find their full list of resolutions and frame rates to compare).http://www.camplex.com/Attachments/Camplex%20Manuals/CMX-HDMIF_Man.pdfThe Camplex unit performs well at 1080P 60 , or 1080i 60 - you may have issues if the black magic only operates at 59.94.
