The HDMI to 3G-SDI Mini Converter with Dual Output from Ocean Matrix allows consumer HDMI signals, whether SD or HD, to be integrated with broadcast-standard SDI equipment. It will accept HDMI resolutions up to 1080p60, and can output in SD-SDI for SD sources and in HD- or 3G-SDI for HD sources, depending on the bandwidth. Plus, dual SDI outputs mean you can deliver the converted signal to two downstream destinations without needing a separate distribution amplifier.

Will embed up to 8-channels of audio from the HDMI source in the SDI stream
Automatic EDID (Extended Device ID) detection for the HDMI input
Can also be connected to DVI-D device using a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable, available separately
5V DC power supply included

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value for the money! We distribute video to multiple monitors for live events. We have found that it is better to run RG59 terminated with BNC cables vs. HDMI throughout the venue. We've tried a few different hdmi to SDI converters and have been very pleased with the performance of this unit. I have no way to measure latency, what, if any, that might be added to the signal is not noticed. Runs off of 5VDC which allows us feed it power from our other 5V devices that are in our distribution system.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good box. Not for Canon 5D Mark II The converter does exactly what it says no problem. The color changing indicator light is a helpful touch. We only ran into trouble when hooking it up to the output of a Canon 5D Mark II DSLR. The HDMI 1080 LiveView video passed through to SDI perfectly. When the 5D goes in to record mode it reduces the output signal down to 480p which the converter does not like, it just went black, no signal output.
