The MWS1 MicroWheel Stage-1 from RigWheels combines four MicroWheels, and one RigPlate to make a linear slider. This setup allows you to position the carriage on smooth flat surfaces such as a counter top or glass table. The Stage-1 carriage is also suitable for operating on a rail or pipe and the MicroWheels will run on any smooth pipe with an outside diameter between 1 and 2". Aluminum and steel pipes/tubes are recommended for suspended camera slider applications.
In addition to the variety of styles of movement you can achieve with this kit, you always have the ability to increase functionality by adding different optional parts (available separately). For example, you can add 2 RigAxels and 4 Inline Wheels to configure the RigSkate. RigWheels are mounted to the RigPlate with common 5/16" or 8mm bolts. With the RigWheels removed, the flat 5/16" thick RigPlate can fit in many common places like a laptop pocket.
All components included in the kit are modular and versatile and can be used individually in various other configurations with different components (available separately).
RigWheels RP01 RigPlate
The RigWheels RP01 RigPlate serves as a resourceful component of the camera mounting hardware. Its first function is to serve as a mounting plate for attaching RigWheels. The RigPlate and 1 set of RigWheels (sold separately) provide with smooth movement as a tabletop / skater dolly that can be used on any smooth or hard surface.
Using the RigPlate as a pipe dolly gives a scalable slider / dolly option for the new generation of mid-size and compact cameras. Attaching 2 RigPlates together creates a captive-rail camera carriage that allows secure camera movement at any angle. Using the RigPlate in conjunction with RigAxels (sold separately) adds even more capability to this simple system with a more traditional tabletop dolly setup and a robust pipe-dolly option.
The RigPlate is a camera support platform and can be used for much more than camera movement. A variety of several different mounting points allow you to attach a myriad of accessories. There are ten 1/4-20 and five 3/8-16 threaded holes (industry standard sizes) in addition to four 5/16" and five 3/8" pass-through holes.
The RigPlate can be turned into a rock-solid suction mount by adding the A-Cups or B- Cups (sold separately).
RigWheels RA01 1-RigAxle
The RigWheels RA01 1-RigAxle is designed to be used in conjunction with the RigPlate (sold separately). It allows for several different additional configurations that provide with even more options for getting smooth camera movement with the RigWheels system (sold separately).
With the custom inline wheels (sold separately) attached to the ends, you can use the RigAxle to convert the RigPlate (sold separately) into a more robust tabletop dolly with a larger footprint. This is a suitable solution for larger camera setups. Moreover, you can pivot the RigAxle to get curved dolly moves. If used with both RigPlate and RigWheels, it adds a bottom bar to make a captive rail pipe slider.
The RigAxle and RigPlate can be used together with the RailRunner configuration. Four 1/4"-20 holes allow for easy attachment of the RigMount (sold separately) and A-Cups (sold separately). In this configuration, the RigAxle can serve as mounting points for the camera gear as well as stabilization outriggers when using the RigPlate as a camera mount.

This pack of four MicroWheel Camera Dolly Wheels from RigWheels are simple and versatile tools for constructing your own pipe dolly, skate dolly, and other DIY camera slider. Each MicroWheel carriage mounts to your dolly platform using a single bolt and features four bearing wheels to smoothly ride on any pipe with an outside diameter of 1 to 2". The machined 6061 aluminum wheel carriages and high quality bearings combine to allow each carriage to support loads up to 50 lb. In addition to riding on rails, the MicroWheels can also be used on table tops and other flat surfaces. You can even attach the wheels directly to 15mm rods using optional adapters, allowing you to turn your 15mm rod support rig into a compact and portable camera dolly/slider.
