question

Can I use this adaptor with the Leaf Aptus-ii back on Ebony 4x5 camera?
Asked by: Kan L.
There is an extra challenge with the Leaf Aptus when I tried to the same with another adapter. Because the leaf Aptus does not a have a screen preview, there is no way to refocus the back once you replace focusing screen of the Graflok. By trial and error, I was able to determine how many mm I need to pull back the rear standard. This movement is only applicable to a specific lens of 150mm. I did not try it with other lenses but I assume it will be different. Also, it’s true that you can get a large image size by stitching but large format lenses are really not optimized for digital sensors. The quality of a medium format wide angle lens is still better than a stitched image from a large format lens, in my opinion.

question

I read the answer about the iq250, however would this also work for the IQ180? Remember the IQ180 has a larger sensor, so just curious if it will still work. Thank you for the previous answer as well, Ill definitely be getting the cables you recommended. IQ180 compatibility?

question

Can i use Phase One IQ250 back of my Phase One DF+ camera on a Cambo 4x5 with Graflok with this adapter ?
Asked by: Ozgur O.
Yes, the FotodioX Pro Mamiya 645 Large Format 4x5 Adapter would be compatible to allow you to attach the Phase One IQ250 digital back to a large format camera. I contacted Mamiya/Phase One and they state there are a couple different ways to use the Phase One IQ250 on a large format camera:1) Set the back into Shutter Latency in where the back is always on and ready to accept a Capture. You can shoot at anytime. The drawback is that the battery wears down faster and it can build up heat. The following cable would be needed for this usage:Mamiya Multi-Connector to Lens Sync Cable (Coiled, 15.7 ), B&H # MAMCLSCL or,2) Set the back to Normal in the Shutter Latency menu. However you will need a a Wake up Cable This cable has a small button that literally wakes up the back electronically for approx. 2 seconds. In that window you expose the image. The drawback is its an added step to expose the image. And if you dont do it in the right sequence, you misfire and need to reset. Two cables are needed for this option:Mamiya Wake-Up Cable, B&H # MAWUCCDBMamiya Multi-Connector to Mini Jack Female Adapter Cable (4.7 ), B&H # MAMCMJFCAC
