    HP F3F43AT reviews

    Thunderbolt-2 PCIe 1-Port I/O Card is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Took a bit, but it works I bought this as soon as it was available, and had a heck of a time getting it to mount my drives. The computer saw the card, and and card saw the drive, but the drive (though connected) wouldn't show up in my computer. I had an error in the device manager stating that it couldn't find resources for this device. After some back and forth with HP and some searching i found a driver on the Lacie site for using their thunderbolt drives on a windows box. Once i installed that, everything was good. I have since added a g drive thunderbolt, and it appears to use the same driver..as it hooked up without an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install and works I bought this card as a solution to add Thunderbolt technology to my HP Z420 workstation. I use it to connect my 8TB G-RAID Thunderbolt drive. I do not use it for any other type of Thunderbolt devices or displays. I have the older Quadro 4000 graphics card and I did not want the expense to upgrade to the HP recommended K4000. This solution works for me since I am only using the Thunderbolt port for mass storage. Note: It will not drive a Thunderbolt display without the graphics card update.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Follow Instructions Carefully--difficult for the DIY This was manufactured by HP for use in HP Workstations; an update of the computer BIOS was recommended which corrupted my installation of Windows 7 and required reloading Windows (which was not fun). Be sure to backup everything before starting and create a Restore point. Put the Card in the socket specified in the instructions (I tried one that was more convenient and it did not work). Once it was properly configured it works as advertised.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not compatible with Z400 Seems to be decent card, but after much trying it does not seem to be compatible with our HP Z400 running Avid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thunderbolt to go? buy one of these I have an HP Z 230 Tower; I wanted to add Thunderbolt capabilities. Installing this PCIe Thunderbolt card did the trick. Now I can daisy chain all of my external Thunderbolt devices and control them all with my HP Z 230. Installation was straightforward. But a word of caution; Make sure you buy the correct Thunderbolt PCIe I/O card for your HP Z XXXXX series machine one size does NOT fit all. Then make sure you read and follow the HP installation directions EXACTLY.
