The Micro Four Thirds mount Rokinon 24mm T1.5 Cine ED AS IF UMC Lens was developed primarily for film and video applications. The cine version of Rokinon's 24mm lens features industry-standard gearing for the focus and aperture ring, and the aperture ring has been de-clicked for smooth iris pulls. The aperture and focus scales have also been relocated to the side of the lens, where it is easier for focus pullers to read them.

This lens is designed for use on Micro Four Thirds sensors and provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 48mm.. The optical construction incorporates four extra-low dispersion elements, as well as two aspherical elements, to reduce chromatic aberration and distortion to produce sharper imagery. Additionally, a UMC coating has been applied to lens elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich images.

Standard-length, 48mm equivalent prime lens provides a similar field of view to normal vision, making it well-suited to use in everyday situations.
Fast T1.5 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and provides greater control over focus placement for shallow depth of field applications.
Four extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements reduce chromatic aberrations in order to produce greater sharpness and clarity.
UMC coating improves light transmission and suppresses lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich, color-neutral images.
Geared aperture and focus rings are compatible with standard follow focuses for greater control over adjustment.
De-clicked aperture ring facilitates smooth, quiet exposure adjustments during recording.

24mm T1.5 Cine ED AS IF UMC Lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good I bought the 3 lens set (24,35 and 85) in native MFT mount for use on the JVC LS300 and my two Pocket Cameras (I dislike adapters). All three of the lenses are well made, feel solid in the hand, mount perfectly to all the cameras, and the focus and iris gears feel very smooth, with just the right amount of tension. These ( plus the 12mm which I bought as well) match perfectly in color and contrast. As has been said, the 24 is the softest of the bunch, but not distractingly so. I've used many professional lenses over the years, and these Rokinon Cines rank right up there close to the high priced spread.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality lens! It performs VERY WELL on GH4, we used it for several weddings so far. Very happy with basically everything about it starting from build quality (feels solid and well made) through operation (the de-clicked aperture ring and easy to use focusing ring) to the optical quality (it may not be a Canon cine lens but for the price it really is wonderful, sharp even at T1.5 with great contrast and no smearing in the corners). It's a no brainer purchase if you are serious about cinematography and hate working with lenses made for photography!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price This is the most expensive lens out of the Rokinon Cinema Lens line. Weirdly it is the worse one. Its not as sharp and has far worse chromatic aberration than the other lenses in the line. The chromatic aberration is actually pretty bad on this lens. When doing a focus rack all lines will color shift green or magenta depending on which direction you're racking. Even though it is not as sharp as the other lenses in the Rokinon Cinema lenses, its still very usable wide open. when stopped down to T2 or smaller the chromatic aberration goes away for the most part. It is just a bit softer than Canon L Zoom lenses. It has nothing on the canon prime L series glass. But at around $-$ cheaper it is still good value. especially since you get the clicks-less aperture and built in gears for follow focus/aperture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lens works great I have my own visual media services company and use serveral different cameras and lenses, both still and video. I purchased this to use with my Panasonic AF-100. I am absolutey pleased. For the price, it is worth evey penny. I've seen shootouts against much much pricier lenses and they win for sure. But for what I'm going to use this for it is spot on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cost effective cinema lens For it's price in comparison to any other cinema lens the Rokinon primes are great. Solid form and sharp focus. The best part about these lenses are the geared focus and declicked aperture ring. These will be different for anyone who is used to shooting on a photo lens with IS and autofocus, but if you're primarily shooting video these are a great addition to your package.

The best part about these lenses are the geared focus and declicked aperture ring. These will be different for anyone who is used to shooting on a photo lens with IS and autofocus, but if you're primarily shooting video these are a great addition to your package. The build however could be better and it's unfortunate that you have to pay extra for focus and aperture marks to be on both sides of the lens barrel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Cine Lens for the Price Look up any youtube review of this glass set. (I have the 24mm, 35mm, 85mm set for my GH4) These lenses are phenomenal for the money. If you're going to get a glass set to start out with great build quality, these are the lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenominal Lens For Medium to Close-up This lens is absolutely phenomenal. I purchased it about two months ago and it's now the only lens I use on my GH4 for video in terms of medium shots and closeups aside from my Sigma and my anamorphics. I only use it for Medium to CloseUps as for some reason when you are shooting distance, it doesn't like to fine focus too well. And I've notice when shooting photos with it, there is slight chromatic abberation and 'pinking' during some sunny shots. Be careful of that especially around the edges of the frame. Other than this lens produces STELLAR closeups and medium shots. It's 'sweet spot' lies somewhere between .5-3 meters away from the lens. Again beyond that, the picture is clear, but not as detailed as some of the other lenses I've used (like the sigma 18-35 w/speedbooster). Very stellar lens though I give it 5/5 even with those issues and HIGHLY recommend it.
