Yes. But I have not done so yet. I'm waiting for one of my graphics software to confirm compatibility first.

You can use the KLM (Keyboard light management) application to set the backlight options, including turning off the backlight.

Yeah, you can do that through the Steelseries software that comes pre-installed.
