The 7' CFP-68N Carbon Fiber Telescoping Boom Pole from Auray is a lightweight and durable boom pole that is loaded with features like anti-twist tube design, ergonomic twist locks, the unique removable arrowhead tip for reduced weight distribution, and the option of easily adding an internal cable. It allows you to place a microphone close to a subject while remaining at a distance or out of frame whether recording a film, a documentary, or a run-and-gun ENG (Electronic News Gathering) production.
The boom poles feature reinforced carbon fiber composite tubes that offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. They are lightweight yet durable, and are designed to withstand the rigors of field use and reduce handling fatigue during lengthy sessions. They are easy to handle, even in extreme temperatures, and are built with ergonomic twist locks for a comfortable grip, and anti-twist tube sections which prevents the tubes from rotating independently of each other.
The removable arrowhead-tip design reduces the weight at the top of the pole further reducing fatigue, and allows for easy solderless cable insertion. Featuring a standard 3/8"-16 threaded mount, the boom pole fits most microphone shock mounts. Optional accessories include carbon fiber extension tubes, cable kit, bottom and side exit housings, and balance weight.
