  • 1Description

Ideal for on camera or off camera video work, the P360EX Variable Color LED Light from Fiilex features 3000-5600K adjustable color temperature and a high CRI (Color Rendering Index) rating of 92. The P360EX employs a 50-diode Dense Matrix LED array that could fit on a dime and renders a bright flicker-free output with a native beam angle of 65 degrees or 30 degrees with optional Fresnel lens. Light intensity is variable from 100-0% and can be adjusted manually or remotely via DMX with separate purchase of the Fiilex DMX Connection Box.

At only 1.6 lb with a 4" diameter form factor, the P360EX is a natural as a location light and can be powered by the included 100-240 VAC power adapter or by optional 12-28 VDC batteries. Whatever way you power it, you'll appreciate the low power draw which translates to low running costs and long running times. Besides the AC adapter, the P360EX ships with a set of 4-way barndoors.

Full Spectrum Color Tuning
The P360EX has the ability to smoothly tune the spectrum of light producing variable color temperatures of 3000-5600K

DMX Control Ready with Optional DMX Box
The P360EX is DMX control capable with separate purchase of the optional DMX Connection Box. Fiilex P360EX reviews

P360EX Variable Color LED Light is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light for the pricepoint I bought these lights on sale and MAN, they are really useful. I love how compact they are. They are INCHES, and they fit in a backpack. The light quality is fantastic, and they're so easy to set up. I can use them as key & edge lights in an interview, and they're excellent supplemental lighting in other situations. Two qualms: (1) I don't feel that they really reach the 400w mark. My Arri 300w lights put out more intensity. The Fiilex's are more like 200w's. (2) It's a little difficult to fine-tune the exact color temperature. I wish it was digital so I could dial in the exact temperature, instead of guessing with a dial. All in all, they're great little lights that are an incredible supplement to my kit at a fantastic value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Starting to love this light Very useful for video. I use it mostly for corporate interviews but I use with batteries for BRoll (Ikan 95 watt will give you just over an hour) and all sorts of stuff. It is brightest around 4500 by about 1/3 stop. Even though it's a 2 inch source I am able to get quite a nice semi soft key at a usable stop by changing the diffusion in the soft box and using the dome, mirrored extension tube. These are add ons but I recommend buying them with the barn doors. It can do great soft fill. Being able to dial in temperature is terrific. It's very small, always travels with me. I think my new light travel kit will now be 2 of these, a new Lightpanels Astra and the new Westcott Ice Light Mk2. Idon't do much on camera stuff but I would get the 180 for that without hesitation. They are fan cooled but I have never had an issue with hearing them. Probably you would not use it on a super quiet set with actors whispering, but for me it's not a problem. I understand that this light is brighter than P360 and that's why I bought it, but it's pretty pricey. I wish they would make a version without the DMX but just as bright. And on my wish list another light that is the same size but 30% brighter. About CRI - There is a more advanced method of evaluating the spectrum of lights - the TLCI, (Television Lighting Consistency Index). This light measures 98 at both 3000 and 5600. Not too shabby!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as powerful as hoped First off, the flexibility and quality of this light is great. The magnetic modifiers I purchased in conjunction with this light add a lot of functionality too. Though I wish they were included with the light itself. It's a lot of added cost beyond the initial purchase price for one light. It's a great light but my beef is that the description claims it's comparable to a 400W tungsten light. After doing some non-scientific testing, it seems to put out substantially less than the 200W portable tungsten lights use every day. (By a company that rhymes with Joel) I'm in the process of testing several LED lights to replace my current tungsten field kit. While I really like the functionality of this light, it's more likely to be a rim and accent light than a key or fill. The fan noise is a minor issue. But it's not a problem as long as the talent mic is at least 5' from the light. One last note: before purchasing the light I asked the company some questions on Facebook. They answered very quickly, and it was this response that sealed the deal on purchasing the light. Looking forward to what Fiilex brings to the table in the near future! All in all, it's likely I'll pick up 1 or 2 more of these to flesh out an LED kit mostly supported by 1x1 panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second one I've bought and I would buy again As an architectural firm we use these lights when we travel for presentations around the world. This light is robust, compact and travels well. The ability to vary the color temperature is crucial when lighting our architectural models. I recommend also getting the Fresnel lens add-on if you need more center focus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my 3rd 360ex Do yourself a favor and just buy a kit. I use these for a variety of small films, and photography. The color is fantastic. And with the P2Q converter these babies have some punch. Fan noise is not an issue because ambient is usually way higher. These are perfect for me. I look forward to using these for a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to transport and not hot A bit pricey but for its range of effects and ease of transport a great tool for spot and background lighting effects. The light heat verges on the very warm - but nothing like an incandescent light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Light! I love this light! Perfect to add, fill, or illuminate your subjects with full control!
