Tenba 632-431 overview

  • 1Description

The 32L Tenba Shootout Backpack holds one or two DSLR cameras and 5-8 lenses, plus a flash and other accessories. It has a large main compartment with padded dividers that are customizable to fit your gear. It can also hold a 17" laptop in its padded sleeve. For additional accessories, there are numerous exterior and interior pockets.

Pivot-Fit harness straps automatically adjust to the shape of your shoulders, and are covered in a moisture-wicking Lycra that moves friction-free over clothing. The bag's exterior is made from water-repellent ripstop nylon, helping to prolong the durability of the Shootout bag.

A quick-access side door allows a camera or lenses to be swapped out without removing the bag from your body. A side-access channel fits a DSLR camera with an attached 70-200mm 2.8 lens.
A full-length front pocket can hold equipment, or soft items such as clothing or food. Micromesh side pockets provide storage for water bottles, or other easy-to-reach items.
An internal aluminum frame transfers weight to the hip belt and allows for load balancing.
A strap secures a tripod or monopod to the outside of the bag.
An adjustable trolley strap allows you to attach the bag to the handle of rolling luggage.
Dual front pockets fit small accessories, and include D-rings to tether media wallets. Windowpane mesh pockets hold accessories on the flap interior.
The included reversible and removable WeatherWrap rain cover is silver on one side to reflect the heat, and black on the other side for added stealth. Can be removed for complete cleaning and drying, and stows away neatly in a sleeve on the bottom. Can also be used as a ground cover.
The base of the bag is abrasion and moisture resistant.
Locking zipper sliders on both camera and laptop compartment can be secured with an optional luggage lock.
Accessory loops and D-rings on the harness straps for optional pouches and other attachments.
Compression straps prevent the load from shifting, and help keep the center of gravity as close to the body as possible.

    Tenba 632-431 reviews

Shootout Backpack (32L) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backpack! I really love this backpack! I took my time in my search and decided on this model and boy am I glad! I'm primarily a video professional but I do take a fair amount of stills, this bag is great for either. I can fit my DSLR's in with all my lenses. And the audio gear and accessories I need on my shoots. It has a good amount of pockets on the exterior too! I find that I wish it were smaller but in all honesty, if it were, it wouldn't hold all my gear. I have a travel shoot soon so I will see how it fits on the airplane. But I'm sure it will have no problem going in the overhead bin. I read a review saying that the Velcro is a bit loose and doesn't stick well. This is true but I have not found that to inhibit how well the bag works. All in all its a great bag, and I see myself using it for quite some time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Backpack Great backpack, very big. I use it to hold my RED Dragon, and batteries, and a few lenses. Gets very heavy obviously, but i dont see how a backpack could get any better of a design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bag! Lots of room! Plenty room for all my gear. Love the quick-access side door and the lugage trolley strap. I only gave 4 stars because I think the tripod is not very secure once attached to the back of the bag. it wouldn't take much for the manufacturer to improve greatly on this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag I purchased this bag to upgrade and obtain a little more room for gear from my Case Logic SLRC-206 backpack. First I have to commend Tenba on the quality of build on the exterior of this bag. The zippers and ballistic nylon on the bag are high quality and they did not skimp on the design. However, I have several observations that I think could be a concern for people purchasing this bag. 1. The dividers for the interior of the bag seems a little flimsy. I will need to use the bag a little longer to absolutely confirm if my observations are true. 2. I use a battery grip on my Nikon D610 so the quick access side pocket is a little snug to get the camera in and out. After using the bag for the past several months, I still believe the interior dividers are a little flimsy for such a great bag (exterior). The side pocket for the camera has not given me any problems even with the battery grip. So, even though it is snug it does not cause any issues. Overall an excellent bag and I would recommend this bag if you need to carry a lot of gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great backpack I'm just using this backpack on my second job since purchasing it, and so far I love it. I am not the typical photographer, I am a cinematographer who uses a 5D package to scout with - 5D lll body, 24-70 zoom, 70-200 zoom, 50mm L prime; plus filters, extension tubes, intervalometer, batteries, charger, 15 macbook pro, card reader... And everything I need fits beautifully into this bag. I used to haul around 2 bags - a backpack to hold my computer and personal gear, and a tenba shoulder bag to carry the 5D package. Now I can get it all in one bag, which is easier to cary, and as a bonus I can carry on another bag when flying. It does get a little heavy, but it is big, and I have chosen to put a lot of stuff in it. And it's definitely better on the body than the 2-bag system. My favorite feature is the little side door, from which you can take the camera out for quick shooting, without opening the whole bag, as well as the hardened sunglass/eyeglass pouch on top. The only potential drawback I see is the tabs that hold the wonderfully padded shoulder straps to the backpack seem a little undersized... i wonder how long they will hold up under such a heavy load - but so far so good, i love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not perfect but pretty close! I was in the market for a new backpack since my Expedition 7X zippers were failing (top compt. zippers) Anyway, My friend and I were at a retailer out here in Southern CA where we he ended up purchasing this bag, we both looked at it pretty good and I gave my seal of approval after a good once over..I did not directly compare the bag due to time constraints with the others but it appeared better then the Anvil series bags...After a couple months of mulling it over I finally pulled the trigger after looking at the Tenba and Anvil 27 series online, so I gave the Anvil 27 a shot....only having to return the bag because of its poor padding and too narrow body... After receiving the Tenba and organizing all my components I must say it was a wise choice..the only reason I gave it 4 stars is Due to its inner dividers..I actually used my 7X dividers because the Tenbas were sub-standard for my needs. Its comfortable and roomy! Tenba needs to revise the inner dividers for added use configurations and overall thickness of the padding and velcro.
