Vivitek D5110W-WNL overview

  • 1Description

The D5110W-WNL WXGA DLP Multimedia Projector from Vivitek features an interchangeable lens design, giving you a short throw, standard zoom, and long zoom option to help you find a throw ratio that best fits your screen size and projection distance. Featuring a 0.65" single-chip DLP imaging system, the D5110W-WNL has a native resolution of 1280 x 800 (WXGA) and can support various non-native resolutions of up to Full HD (1920 x 1080) and 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) by scaling the image. It features a brightness of 5000 lumens in Standard Mode, and is designed for class rooms, conference rooms, event spaces, and other "large venue" applications.

The D5110W-WNL will accept a range of video sources, including computers, A/V switchers, Blu-ray Disc and DVD players, PTZ video cameras, document cameras, and more. For Digital sources there is an HDMI input with HDMI 1.4a and 3D support, DisplayPort , and a DVI-D (digital only) input. On the analog side, there are two VGA inputs, a 5-BNC input for component or RGBHV, dedicated RCA component, composite, and an S-video input. The two VGA inputs both feature mirrored VGA outputs in case you want to connect a local computer monitor or send the signals downstream to other A/V equipment such as a video switcher. There are four audio inputs, two on RCA and two on 3.5mm mini jacks, and there is a single multi audio output for amplified speakers or connecting a sound system. The projector also features dual 3 watt speakers built-in.

For control there is an included IR remote, and an IR extender port means you can wire an IR "eye" (available separately) to it for installations where direct line-of-sight contact with the projector is difficult or impossible do to obstructions. An Ethernet port enables operation over a network and an RS-232C port allows control from custom software or automation systems like Crestron.

Interchangeable Lens Design
For the sake of versatility, this projector works with several (separately available) lens options, each with a different throw ratio or throw ratio range. It will support screen sizes from 37 to 450" diagonal and projection distance of up to 90', depending on lens used, projector placement, amount of ambient light, and other factors. Compatible lenses include:
  • Standard Zoom Lens (LNS-5SZ1): 1.6 to 2.0:1 throw ratio (1.25x zoom)
  • Short Fixed Lens (LNS-5FX1): 0.8: throw ratio (no zoom)
  • Long Zoom Lens (LNS-5LZ1): 2.0 to 3.0:1 throw ratio (1.5x zoom)
Single Chip DLP Technology
Uses a combination of a chip covered in millions of micro-mirrors and a color wheel to produce an image. DLP features less spacing between pixels and better contrast than many comparable LCD-based systems, and the design does not require a filter that needs to be replaced
3D Ready
Supports direct connection to many 3D sources - including Blu-ray players - when used in conjunction with DLP Link-compatible active 3D glasses - a 3D sync port is provided for connection with glasses' system
5000 Lumens Lamp
A single lamp provides 5000 lumens brightness in normal mode, and is estimated to last 1500 hours (3000 hours in the lower brightness Eco Mode). To determine the ideal brightness level for your application, you will need to take into account the screen width, distance from the projector to the screen (throw distance), amount of ambient light near the screen, and the reflectivity (gain) of the screen surface used
16:10 Native Aspect Ratio
This projector features a 16:10 native aspect ratio. This is considered a widescreen format, and comes very close to the 16:9 standard of HDTV. This format is ideal if you plan to show HD video, and can still be used for presentations - though in the case of PowerPoints some extra space may be leftover on the sides. The projector can show 4:3 too; however black bars (pillaring) will have to be applied, or the image will have to be stretched or cropped to fit
Low Voltage Trigger
A 12V DC output that can be wired with other equipment in your A/V system, such as a motorized screen so that when the projector powers on or off the attached equipment responds appropriately - for example, by raising or lower the screen
BrilliantColor Technology
From Texas Instruments - is a multi-color processing technology that uses up to six colors, instead of just the three primary colors - red, green and blue - to improve color accuracy and brighten secondary colors
37 dB Noise in Eco Mode
The cooling system generates around 42 dB in Standard Mode and 37 dB in Eco Mode
