The EC ATOM 80 Microbolometer Core from Sofradir is equipped with a 5.0mm, f/1.2 passive athermalized lens that has a 30° field of view. It detects temperature variations of ±122°F from the surrounding ambient temperature, and its passive athermalized lens is able to maintain its focus throughout the entire detection range without mechanical focus adjustment. This camera is ideally suited for thermal detection applications such as automotive night vision and obstacle detection, non-contact temperature measurement, building or home automation control, advanced intrusion detection, people counting, or traffic monitoring.
The camera connects to, and is powered by, a computer via USB 2.0. It streams 14-bit video to the D*Star software where it can be recorded, converted to multiple file formats, or manipulated for customized appearance or increased sensitivity.
