Small Venue Wireless Remote and Class 2 Laser Pointer (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consumer Care I had an issue with my pen. Cannot say enough about the sincerity and helpfulness of Consumer Care. I am not one to write reviews, but felt that the support exceeded my expectations - and for that reason, I would seek out a Quartet product in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good design, weight, feel, and functionality but the wireless range is only about 20-30 feet and 1 out of 2 had weak lasers. This is the same review that I have posted on Amazon.com and other retailer's sites: I bought two of these. I tried the first one out at the office, and it worked great. The build quality feels solid and well-made. The buttons are easy to feel for, and are not too sensitive, so you don't have to look down during your presentation. Set-up on a computer is nearly instantaneous and works even on heavily locked down conference room computers. The wireless connection works from between 20 and 30 feet away from the computer, depending on the room. I’ve tried it in four different conference rooms, and across my office, with varying range results between about 20 and 30 feet. This range hasn’t been a problem for me yet when giving actual presentations from where I would typically stand, but I would prefer if it had a further range so I didn’t have to worry about it in rooms where the computer is in the back of the room. The class 2 red laser is very bright, but not the obnoxious green light that is the fad right now. I'm not saying that green light lasers don't have a place, like in a large auditorium, but people using them in small conference rooms is absurd and possibly dangerous. The light on this one is red, and very bright for a red laser, but not so bright that it distracts people by bouncing all around the room, like happens when people use green lasers in small conference rooms. So basically, my experience with the first laser I opened is solid. 4 stars or maybe even 5 depending on how much the wireless range matters to you. The problem is, I bought two of these, one for my desk and one for my laptop case, because I give presentations on the road as much as I do in the office. When I got home to set-up and test out the one that I planned to keep in my laptop case, its laser was very dim. I thought that maybe the battery that came with it was dead, so I replaced it with a new battery. No difference, so I thought maybe in some crazy fluke, that battery might be dead too. After testing both batteries with a multi-meter, I confirmed that both batteries were full, and something else must be causing the dimness. The customer service phone hours for Quartet are weekday, business hours, so I used their e-mail form. I will follow up with a phone call on Monday, and will update this review with my experience. The 4 stars I've given them is based on the assumption that they will replace it, hassle free. In fact, I'll probably upgrade it to 5 stars if that is the case and if the range continues not to be an issue in real world use. I do really like the weight, feel, design, and button functionality of this. I just don't feel comfortable giving a 4 or 5 star review to something that has a 50% out-of-box failure rate. If the customer service experience is poor, I’ll downgrade to 2 or 3 stars, based on the combination of the failure rate and how they handle it. If the customer service experience is positive, I’ll leave it at 4 stars, and maybe even upgrade to 5 after I use it in a few more venues and confirm that the range isn’t a problem.
