Canon 70D Overview

The Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera Kit with 18-135mm STM Lens & PIXMA PRO-100 Inkjet Printer from B&H takes the 20.2 megapixel 70D DSLR camera with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and pairs it with the professional quality PIXMA PRO-100 wireless inkjet photo printer. This combination allows you to create excellent digital images and then produce vivid physical prints.

The 70D combines a 20.2 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with the DIGIC 5+ image processor to produce high quality images. This system also allows for fast processing and autofocus, including Dual Pixel CMOS AF that features rapid autofocus even in Live View and full HD movie recording modes. Meaning you can utilize the 3.0" 1,040k-dot vari-angle touchscreen for framing subjects without losing autofocus performance. For standard autofocusing there is a 19-point all cross-type system and the camera can shoot at a continuous rate of up to 7 fps. The 70D even features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and has an ISO range of 100-12,800 which is expandable to 25,600.

The EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens is included along with the camera body to serve as a versatile everyday lens that encompasses a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 28.8-216mm. The STM stepping motor helps to achieve near-silent focusing when used in conjunction with the Movie Servo AF mode and the optical image stabilization system helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake.

The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer is a high resolution 4800 x 2400 dpi printer with FINE technology for ink droplets as small as 3 pl. It also has an 8-cartridge ink system for a wide color range and has 3 black inks for producing black-and-white images with an excellent tonal range. Additionally, you can print directly on disks and it has multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB. The PRO-100 can handle a wide range of more standard media as well and can print borderless images up to 13 x 19".

Which case / bag is good for Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera with 18-135mm STM f/3.5-5.6 Lens?
Asked by: Kyaw T.
LowePro Event Messenger 150 holds the EOS 70D with mounted lens and hood vertically in the center pocket. It is not an AW (All Weather) bag, but is great for traveling in the footwell of vehicles.

question

In the demo reel for Canon EOS 70D it showed that the ISO could get up to 12,800, how do I get my camera to get up to that ISO number?
Asked by: Anonymous
It actually can go as high as ISO 25,600. You can change the ISO a few ways, the easiest being pressing the ISO button just above your top LCD screen. Or if you wish, you can also access the ISO menu by use of the Q button.

question

When autofocusing and taking video, is it silent, or does it make noise? That's one of my problems when using my current camera.
Asked by: Mario N.
The camera is silent, it's the lens mechanism that's noisy. Some of the newer Canon lenses are silent to accommodate, but other still lenses are noisy since they weren't designed for video.
