F stop value is off by up to 2 full stops from what the lens itself reads. If I shoot at f2 manually the computer reads that i shot at f 2.8. What can we make of this?

Are you using a compatible lens? There are only 25 compatible Leica lenses for this adapter--they are listed in the manual on the product page. Please contact the B&H Photo department for further help.
