The Sony Alpha a77 II DSLR Camera is a versatile and advanced digital camera featuring a 24.3MP APS-C-sized Exmor CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor to produce high-resolution still images and Full HD movies with marked low-light quality and sensitivity to ISO 25600. Beyond notable imaging traits, the image processor also lends itself to continuous shooting up to 12 fps for up to 26 RAW frames. The processor and sensor combination are also significantly benefitted by the unique Translucent Mirror Technology, which effectively directs light to both the image sensor and focus sensor simultaneously. This enables the expansive 79-point AF system, which includes 15 cross-type points, to work continuously even while recording video and photographing in a continuous shooting mode.

I recently used SONY site to upgrade my A77's firmware, would it be necessary to do the same with the A77 II?
Asked by: Morris
MFR's are constantly upgrading camera's firmware, it would certainly make sense to check with Sony's site to see if there are any upgrades for your camera.

Does this Sony A77 II have "image stabilization " ...

Does this Sony A77 II have "image stabilization " . I honestly though that it did. I am considering buy the Tampon 150-600 A-mount lens , but one review on the lens states that it does not have image stabilization and VC but I have never heard of VC before. While trying to figure it out I came up with Vertical _____ ?. Or __________? Camera . Please someone write me back. You would certainly think that the $1200 that I spent on this Sony Camera they could have included a book. If anyone know about a book on this camera please tell me . I have one book "The Digital Photography Book" Part 1, written by Scott Kelby .
Asked by: Lawrence
Hi Scott, The camera has what it called SteadyShot and for the lens the VC is Vibration compensation, which is designed to help with shake.

question

How is this camera compared to a rebel T6I?
Asked by: Brandon S.
I owned a Canon T-6i . I lost my arm when I sold it. I felt that the camera was slow with recording the picture to memory. When I would shot allot of birds that would bolt with any noise. When I would take a pic of a bird I could not take another picture until the camera , I am not talking a long wait but maybe a second or two.

question

Is thee any diferese between A77 and the A 77 II; do they used the same type of lenses?
Asked by: Anonymous
The adapters allow you to use the E-mount lenses made by Sony also. Tamron has yet to make an E-mount lens for the Sony camera lines. I am confused as to what Sony is trying to do with changes in their camera line they are now focusing on the mirrorless cameras that take the E-mount. I still have many of the A-frame lenses as the expense of them I cannot layout $2500 to get the lenses that I want. The 16-50 A-mount and the 100-400 SONY A-mount lenses. If they want to sell out that line they need to have some competition on this. I have tried so many different cameras. I want to be ready for Sporting activities and then I do allot of animals in action. Where I live we have Hawks and there flight is amazing. How they can hunt from over 500 feet , if I could I would love to have their vision on my camera. That would be amazing for sure.
