The Westcott Rapid Box 20" Octa Mini with Deflector Plate Kit was put together by B&H to provide the maximum softness and diffusion possible from the Octa Mini softbox and your speedlight.
The 20" Octa Mini lives up to its name by providing a soft quality of light for your shoe-mount flash in a kit that sets up and breaks down in a fraction of the time as most competitors. The softbox comes complete with a tilting 5/8" receiver, stand mount/shoe mount/speed ring combo that disengages quickly from the box allowing it to close like an umbrella. It has a reflective silver interior, removable diffuser and a fully adjustable bracket for your flash. The Mini's large surface area yields a signature wrap-around quality of light as well as natural-looking catchlights in the eyes of your subject. It stores in the included fabric carrying case.
The 5.5" diameter reflective silver deflector disc is positioned directly in the center of the Octa, several inches from your flash. The light bounces off the disc evenly dispersing the light to the edges of the softbox, virtually eliminating the hot spot and maximizing diffusion.
