question

Can this power my Panasonic FZ1000?
Asked by: Romeo L.
No unfortunately that will not work with the FZ1000 because the coupler or dummy battery will not fit. For the FZ1000, you would need the Panasonic DMW-DCC8 DC Coupler for GH2 plus some battery that interfaces with the coupler. Unfortunately as well, the DMW-DCC8 is no longer available from B&H. It is available on the internet. I was not able to find any source for a big battery for this camera. In proceeding from here, the first thought that comes to mind of this former camera assistant is getting the coupler, getting a Switronix cable of the right voltage and splicing the two together. However, Switronix would have to suggest the right cable. I would suggest contacting them to see what is available and if maybe they can custom make a set up for you.

question

Can you charge this by putting the dummy battery in the battery charging dock or do I have to buy the Powerbase charger?

The Powerbase charges via a d-tap plug
