The FastFire III Reflex Sight from Burris Optics features a 3-MOA red aiming dot, which is big enough to see in the daylight but won't obstruct small varmints. Three brightness levels lets you set it to your preference, or switch it to auto and the light sensor will detect the amount of available light and adjust the brightness itself. The FastFire III is made of aluminum with a matte-black anodized finish, and is waterproof and submersible. This sight comes with a Picatinny/Weaver rail mount, and mounts for a variety of rifles and pistols are also available that allow you to move the FastFire to other firearms.

Will it fit on a S&W M&P pistol?
I purchased the FastFire III w/picatinny mount, but ended up removing the Picatinny and purchasing the mount specific to my Ruger Mark III. Much cleaner lower profile installation. I believe there is a S&W mount. Threaded portion slides into dovetail then mount attaches with 2 or 3 screws. Easy..no gunsmith required.
