    The C7e Large-Diaphragm Multi-Pattern FET Condenser Microphone from Miktek can be used as a professional studio recording microphone and is designed for capturing vocals, amplifier cabinets, and a wide variety of instruments. The C7e utilizes the MK7 capsule, featuring dual 1" diaphragms made using 5-micron Mylar with a 0.4-micron layer of evaporated gold. Diaphragms are then precisely tensioned, mounted to carefully tuned backplates, and finally set back-to-back, with electronic isolation, to create the finished capsule.

    Designed around the AMI T7 transformer, the head amplifier features a unique circuit that allows the engineer to switch the capsule-bias voltage from 48 to 60V. This proprietary circuit implementation essentially provides the mic with two voices, allowing you to choose between a classic and modern microphone.

  • Warm Audio WA76 - Discrete FET Compressor

    The WA76 from Warm Audio is a modern reproduction of the 1176 revision D limiting amplifier. With its completely discrete signal path and use of the original Reichenbach Engineering's (now CineMag) transformer design, the unit remains as faithful as possible to the construction of the original classic.

    The 1176 was a major breakthrough in limiter technology, being the first true peak limiter with an all transistor circuitry while offering superior performance and a signature sound. The ultra-fast attack time was and still is a sound coveted by many legendary artists and studio engineers. This reproduction includes the famous "all buttons in" setting.

  • Golden Age Project PRE-73 DLX - Vintage-Style Preamplifier

    The Golden Age Project PRE-73 DLX is a vintage-style, solid-state preamplifier that offers circuitry similar to that in the classic 1073 module. The single-channel PRE-73 DLX uses only discrete components, including Tantalum capacitors. You get a choice of mic, line, and DI (active or passive) inputs to go along with XLR and 1/4-inch outputs. Front panel input and output knobs give you plenty of level-setting flexibility. A 5-way attenuation switch (0, -7, -14, -21, -28 dB) makes it easy to overdrive the output stage to add additional coloration to the sound.

    Other controls include a high-pass filter with four different frequency selections (off, 50, 80, 160, 300 Hz), a front-panel switch that governs the insert jack's in/out status, as well as DI In, 48V (phantom power), Low-Z (mic-input impedance), Phase, Ground Lift, and 600Ω (output) Termination switches.

    The PRE-73 DLX also gives you a number of user-configurable options that can be set on the inside of the unit. These include changing the DI input from active to passive, changing the DI's input impedance from its normal high-impedance setting to 100Ω, setting the DI input to bypass the mic transformer, and shutting off the input to the Insert jack when it's not in use.
