Compact, sturdy and effective.
I have used several of these (both short and long versions) for holding down video cameras (3-10 pounds) over the last year and never had problems. Some other d-ring designs have not fit in the slot of the tripod camera plate, so I like this compact design. I have replace several of the original slider screws that used plain heads with this design.

Broke Immediatly
I put 2 of these onto my A7Rii cage since the original swivels were blocked. The very first time I picked it up one hasp pulled off, and dropped the camera. I had enough grip on the strap to avoid tragedy. The roll pin is very short, and they just back out of the body
