The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III Digital Camera is a versatile and advanced point-and-shoot featuring a large 20.1 megapixel 1" Exmor R CMOS sensor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD video. This sensor's design utilizes backside-illuminated technology to improve clarity and image quality when working in dimly lit conditions as well as increase the sensitivity to a native ISO 12800. Benefitting the performance of this sensor is the BIONZ X image processor, which helps to produce images with smooth quality and tonal gradations as well as provide expedited performance throughout all aspects of the camera, including a continuous shooting rate of 10 fps in Speed Priority mode, shutter release lag of 0.008 sec., and XAVC S movie recording at 50 Mbps.

question

I'm not being able to record in XAVC format even on a class 10 94 mb/s Sony SD card:http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/917689-REG/sony_sf16ux_tqn_16gb_sdhc_uhs_1_memory_card.htmlAre there any particular SD cards that are compatible with the RX100iii?Thanks

I am sorry for the problem you are having with the video. According to Sony it will only record the XAVC format if you are using an SDXC memory card (64GB or higher). We recommend this Sony 64GB card. Please see the following link:http://bhpho.to/1k9LKlw

Is there a way to save the user settings?

Is there a way to save the user settings?
Asked by: Larry
Essentially, any digital camera retains the settings the user makes until the user changes them. If you mean can the camera keep multiple groups of settings, such as for different photo conditions, then the answer is no. To the best of my knowledge, no camera has this feature.

question

My macbook pro does not recognize the camera. It seems the camera isn't connecting wirelessly. The camera says to connect using the supplied usb cable, that however doesn't work with the new mac book connections?
Asked by: Robert P.
The wireless connection from the camera can only go to mobile devices (smartphones/tablets) with the downloaded Sony mobile app. Not to desktop or laptop computers. If the macbook does not have a USB port then there is not a way to connect the camera to the computer. You would need a different device.
