The UAP-OUTDOOR+ UniFi Access Point Enterprise Wi-Fi System from Ubiquiti Networks is a scalable enterprise access point solution designed to be easily deployed and managed. The UAP-Outdoor+ is designed for noisy, high-density environments and utilizes Multi-Lane RF technology to provide enhanced capacity and throughput. It includes two external antennas and a secondary Ethernet port used for bridging. In addition, it supports 802.11n MIMO technology with speeds of up to 300 Mb/s and a range of up to 600'. This UniFi Access Point (AP) outdoor model has a form factor that is built to last outdoors.

This Wi-Fi system includes UniFi Controller software that can be installed on a PC, Mac, or Linux machine within the network, and is easily accessible through a standard Web browser. Using the UniFi Controller software, an Enterprise Wi-Fi network can be quickly configured and administered, without any special training. The real-time status, automatic UAP device detection, map loading, and advanced security options are all integrated in the system.

UniFi AP

Save Money and Save Time
The UniFi AP comes bundled with a non-dedicated software controller that can be deployed on an on-premise PC, Mac, or Linux machine, in a private cloud, or using a public cloud service.
Wi-Fi 802.11n MIMO Technology
The 802.11n MIMO technology offers speeds of up to 300 Mb/s and a range of up to 600'.
Intuitive UniFi Controller Software
Install, configure, and manage all of the UniFi APs with the intuitive and user-friendly UniFi controller user interface.
Build wireless networks as big or small as needed. Start with one or more and expand to thousands, while maintaining a single unified management system.

UniFi Controller
Use the UniFi controller to provision thousands of UniFi APs, map out networks, quickly manage system traffic, and provision additional UniFi APs.
You can use the configurable reporting and analytics to manage large user populations and expedite troubleshooting.
Wireless Uplink
The Wireless Uplink functionality enables wireless connectivity between APs for extended range. One wired UniFi AP uplink supports up to four wireless downlinks on a single operating band, allowing wireless adoption of devices in their default state and real-time changes to network topology.
Guest Portal/Hotspot Support
Easy customization options for guest portals include authentication, hotspot setup, and the ability to use your own external portal server. Use UniFi's rate limiting for guest portal/hotspot package offerings. Apply different bandwidth rates (download/upload), limit total data usage, and limit duration of use. The UniFi AP includes hotspot functionality. It includes a built-in support for billing integration using major credit cards, and built-in support for voucher-based authentication. It also includes built-in hotspot manager for voucher creation, guest management, payment refund, full customization, and branding of hotspot portal pages.
Multi-Site Management*
A single UniFi Controller running in the cloud can manage multiple sites, multiple, distributed deployments, and multi-tenancy for managed service providers. Each site is logically separated and has its own configuration, maps, statistics, guest portals, administrator read/write, and read-only accounts.
WLAN Groups*
The UniFi controller can manage flexible configurations of large deployments. Create multiple WLAN groups and assign them to an AP's radio.
Zero Handoff Roaming
With Ubiquiti's Zero Handoff Roaming, mobile users can roam anywhere and seamlessly maintain the connections as they switch to the nearest AP. The Zero Handoff Roaming makes multiple APs appear as a single AP, so that it can work with any client and requires no interaction from the client device.
Upload map images of your location for a visual representation of each wireless network.
The UniFi organizes and visualizes network traffic in clear and easy-to-read graphs.
Extend Your Coverage
With the UniFi controller software running in an NOC or in the cloud, administrators can extend and centrally manage the wide areas of indoor and outdoor coverage, using any combination of UniFi APs.
Easy Mounting
Sleek wall or ceiling mount design (all accessories included).
The weather-resistant case is designed for outdoor installations. The dual, omni-directional antennas on the UAP-OUTDOOR+ provide 360° wireless coverage.
Power over Ethernet (PoE)
This UniFi AP-Outdoor+ includes Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality. It also includes a Power over Ethernet adapter and can be powered by the Ubiquiti TOUGHSwitch PoE (sold separately). It is compatible with an 802.3af compliant switch.

Note:*Currently available in the beta version of the UniFi Controller v3.

UAP-OUTDOOR+ UniFi Access Point Enterprise Wi-Fi System is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confusing to connect - works great Would have given it 5 stars if the instructions were a little less confusing. I finally figured out how to connect it on my own. It has good range and now I have WIFI in my barn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in class wireless products I purchased this product as the centerpiece in a mesh wifi network for local retirement home. My previous experience with Ubiquity UniFi and AirOs products made this a no brainer. The facility mentioned is a concrete and steel bunker with a five story open atrium at it's center. Running wire across the open atrium was not an option. I set up the UAP-outdoor unit outside the admin office and created a mesh network with several Ubiuity UAP units in order to provide internet connectivity to the guest suites (which are located several hundred feet from the UAP-Outdoor unit). Connectivity is robust and reliable and speed at the client AP(s) are consistent with the speed of the incoming IP connection (30x5). Management of the system is accomplished via an existing workstation running Ubiquity UniFi software, I simply added a wireless NIC to the machine. The UniFi software is better with each new release, reasonably simple to understand and has great support both from Ubiquity and the user community at large. The other added bonus in this installation is the fact that the UAP-Outdoor unit covers the entire atrium area with only one weak area (in the shadow of the elevator shafts). I've been using Ubiquity products for a number of years and find that their consistent quality, innovative (and free) management software and price point make them my go to manufacturer for wireless connectivity. The only con that I can possibly find worth mentioning is availability of product. Due to Ubiquity's huge popularity and competitive pricing, it's sometimes difficult to find product in stock. B&H has the best track record of any of the vendors I normally use including several that specialize in network products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreal performance! I was at over 450 feet way from the device that was mounted about 10 feet high. I had 3 bars on my PC laptop with the stock 5db antenna. Far exceeded my clients expectations. Excellent product, but Unfi software can be tricky until you are used to it, then it is easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like the power over ethernet and the zero hand-off My house must be part faraday cage, getting a wifi signal more than 40 feet is practically impossible. So I bought a UAP LR access point 3 pack and a UAP Outdoor+ access point so the network could be accessed from anywhere. I wanted zero hand-off so I could roam around and never worry about how/what I am connected to. I had several extra cat 5e network cables in the attic allowing me to use a POE system making the devices unobtrusive and thus keeping my wife happy. Set up was simple - install the Unifi software and adopt the access points. Documentation did not tell you that the default group could not be zero hand-off so I had to find that out mostly by accident while researching set up problems (so I could avoid them myself). Since setting the network up it has performed very well. We have had several power outages in the past few weeks and the network came back up on its own, problem free after each one. I am getting adequate range from the AP's but not the range I expected. Overall I would say that these are a good products
