It offers 802.11n MIMO technology, with speeds of up to 300 Mb/s and range of up to 400'. This UniFi Access Point (AP) indoor model has a sleek design and can be easily mounted to a ceiling tile or wall, using the included mounting hardware. It includes UniFi Controller software. The software can be installed on a PC, Mac, or Linux machine within the network and is easily accessible through a standard Web browser. Using the UniFi Controller software, an Enterprise Wi-Fi network can be quickly configured and administered, without any special training. Real-time status, automatic UAP device detection, map loading, and advanced security options are all seamlessly integrated in the system.

Note: The UAP is an international/world version, sold internationally.

UniFi AP

Time Saving and Cost Effective
The UniFi AP comes bundled with a non-dedicated software controller that can be deployed on an on-premise PC, Mac, or Linux machine, in a private cloud, or while using a public cloud service.
Wi-Fi 802.11n MIMO Technology
802.11n MIMO technology offers gigabit speed and range up to 400'.
Build wireless networks as big or small as needed. Start with one or more and expand to thousands while maintaining a single unified management system.

UniFi Controller

UniFi Controller Software
Install, configure, and manage the UniFi AP with the intuitive and easy-to-learn UniFi Controller user interface. Use the UniFi Controller to provision thousands of UniFi APs, map out networks, quickly manage system traffic, and provision additional UniFi APs.
Detailed Analytics
Use the configurable reporting and analytics to manage large user populations and expedite troubleshooting.
Wireless Uplink
Wireless Uplink functionality enables wireless connectivity between APs for extended range. One wired UniFi AP uplink supports up to four wireless downlinks on a single operating band, allowing wireless adoption of devices in their default state and real-time changes to network topology.
Guest Portal/Hotspot Support
Easy customization and options for guest portals include authentication, hotspot setup, and the ability to use your own external portal server. Use UniFi's rate limiting for guest portal/hotspot package offerings. Apply different bandwidth rates (download/upload), limit total data usage, and limit duration of use. UniFi AP includes hotspot functionality. It includes built-in support for billing integration using major credit cards and built-in support for voucher-based authentication. It also includes built-in hotspot manager for voucher creation, guest management, payment refund, full customization, and branding of hotspot portal pages.
Multi-Site Management*
A single UniFi controller running in the cloud can manage multiple sites, multiple distributed deployments, and multi-tenancy for managed service providers. Each site is logically separated and has its own configuration, maps, statistics, guest portal, and administrator read/write and read-only accounts.
WLAN Groups*
The UniFi controller can manage flexible configurations of large deployments. Create multiple WLAN groups and assign them to an AP's radio.
Zero Handoff Roaming*
With zero handoff roaming, mobile users can roam anywhere and maintain their connections as they switch to the nearest AP. The zero handoff roaming makes multiple APs appear as a single AP, so that it can work with any client and requires no interaction from the client device.
Upload map images of your location for a visual representation of each wireless network.
UniFi organizes and visualizes network traffic in clear and easy-to-read graphs.
Extend Your Coverage
With the UniFi Controller software running in an NOC or in the cloud, administrators can extend and centrally manage the wide areas of indoor and outdoor coverage, using any combination of UniFi APs.
Easy Mounting
Sleek wall or ceiling mount design (all accessories included).
It has an industrial design with an LED provisioning ring or square, which provides administrator location tracking and alerts for each device.
Power over Ethernet (PoE)
Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality allows both power and data to be carried over a single Ethernet cable to the device. The unit can be powered from an included PoE adapter as well as the Ubiquiti TOUGHSwitch PoE PRO (sold separately).

Note:*Currently available in the beta version of the UniFi Controller v3.

    Ubiquiti Networks UAPUS reviews

UAP UniFi Access Point Enterprise Wi-Fi System (Single-Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Works! We have been using these for a little over a year now, they are simple to setup once you get the software installed. For the most part they just work, it takes very little maintenance to keep them running. They have great coverage when the band is not crowded, when it is then there coverage is somewhat less but still very usable. We are in an industrial area with lots of other high power business networks that are competing for the spectrum. We are also using them inside of multiple steel buildings, we use one UAP in each building and the coverage inside is great. To get coverage outside we are using one of the AP Outdoor models for outside the buildings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Setup I purchased this product to increase the reliability of the wireless network at work. The AP works very well at going through walls in a metal building. The set up was extremely easy and the online management software is great! I will make one note and the reason why I only gave it four stars. It is passive PoE. Therefore, you must use the PoE injector that comes with the AP. This is unless you purchase one of Ubiquiti's PoE switches. This will still work on other switches as long as you use the injector. I put the injector close to the switch and then just ran the ethernet cable to the AP. I highly recommend this product. I plan on getting more in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great AP and system! I use this AP for home and It has been great so far. I use it in conjunction with a PFsense router with multiple VLANs. I have 3 SSIDs and 3 separate VLANs. The controller software is easy to install, and is very intuitive. I have a controller running in the cloud and a backup on my network. The AP does run on passive PoE, but does come with a passive PoE injector. If you don't want to use the injector, get a Ubiquiti switch or router with PoE switch ports. I gave it 4/5 stars because of the passive PoE. Other models use standard 802.3AF/AT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best access points available I've used $$access points at previously business locations for Private & Guest Wifi. This access point out performs every product I've ever used. It supports more concurrent users than products that cost 10x more. After the initial setup you might not ever have to login again for months. I recently purchased one for my home. Along with the EdgeRouter X, my throughput is much higher and I've not had any issues with antenna saturation. I replaced a $$router, which was supposedly an extreme router, but had to reset multiple times daily. Best piece of network equipment I've purchased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WiFi that simply works I am using this wifi access point for my home. It covers all 3000 sq. ft. without a problem. I have the AP in the basement, and I can get coverage on the 2nd floor. It has many features you would find in a high end product like configurable Guest SSIDs with splash screens and terms of use acceptance. I have not configured any of that at this point. Out of the box I was up and running in about 10 min. Very happy with the included PoE injector so I was able to place the AP where I wanted it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great AP So far I really like this AP. After more than a decade of buying Linksys APs and routers I got tired of the need for reboots and the unreliability. I've heard nothing but good things about Ubiquiti, so I thought I'd give it a try. Installation was a breeze (physical, and configuration). It looks nice, and works great. I get better coverage in my home than ever before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enterprise grade WiFi at consumer prices I have installed several dozen of these APs, mostly single AP installations for my smaller clients, and one warehouse installation with 14 units covering 2 huge warehouse sections. I've had zero problems with the hardware. All of the issues I've had (small issues) are related to the control software, and more specifically, its dependence on Java. I don't even bother with APs from other manufacturers now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best WiFi AP for business It's used to run an office WiFi network for mobile employees, guests and ad-hoc network access. The most important for business setups is to separate functions between devices and UniFi does exactly that: no unnecessary functions and everything needed is there. Very easy installation since all the mounting hardware and PoE adapter are included and DHCP support is on by default. A little confusion with using their management software at the beginning but after 15 minutes of reading everything works just fine. So far no complains.
