The ES-188 NTP Referenced Master Clock/Time Code Generator by ESE is for generating several types of time code. It is used in various applications to extract time data from a NPR satellite receiver or to update a computer's Windows clock to the time available on the USB or serial port. The time code it generates include SMPTE LTC, ESE-TC89, ESE-TC90, ASCII (RS-232C & USB), EBU, IRIG-B, and a 1PPS signal. These outputs allow the ES-188 to easily interface with new or existing computers, automation and clock systems.
The ES-188 is built with a front panel, nine-digit, .56", yellow LED display and a NTP Ethernet port (RJ-45). This unit features automatic, daylight savings time correction and has a time advance/delay feature for synchronization purposes. Configuration is through the RS-232 and USB port. In addition, PC software is included, and the unit has a built-in, 4-hour battery backup. The unit is rack-mountable.
