Airport Roller Derby Rolling Carry-On Camera Bag is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for here. Selecting and acquiring our gear makes it very precious . We all have invested the bucks and time to have it close by. This is not my first Think Tank product and like the others I have it seem a bit better thought out and more usable than much of the competition. I am surprised how easy it is to roll. The lock and cable help assure the fast grab thief will pass you by. I use this as a base for my main equipment and a shoulder bag to shoot from, seems to keep things light and simple, but I can have access while traveling. The Roller Derby now stands in my closet giving me easy and quick access to my major stuff. Works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Traveler Traveled domestically and internationally with this bag and it has performed flawlessly. Two SLRs, four lenses, (long and wide zooms attached) filters, 2 speed lights, three pocket wizards, batteries, cables, memory cards, etc. all well protected. With this much gear it is getting a little heavy. I didn't use the bag for my laptop but could have. The wheels operate smoothly and it fits in the overhead luggage space on full sized aircraft. You can walk quickly through airports rolling this bag at your side. Quality zippers. You get the quality you've paid for with this bag. You'll need to gate check this bag for regional flights on smaller aircraft. Very pleased with this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great rolling bag by Think Tank Photo! Although I loved my Think Tank Airport International v2.0, I wanted a rolling camera bag that has a slot for my MacBook Pro. The Roller Derby was a great choice, with it's great maneuverability thanks to its eight wheels (four sets). The bag holds a ton of equipment. I've got it full loaded with my kit: Nikon D5 Nikon D750 with grip Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VC Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E VR Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII Nikon 85mm f/1.8G Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR Micro Nikon SB-5000 Godox V860N Along with some accessories! Everything fits in nicely and is well protected. Bag looks great and is very functional. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Rolling Bag Yet!! Think Tank Photo hit the ball out of the park with the Airport Roller Derby bag. I just replaced my Airport Security (v2) and Airport 4-Sight with this bag. It's the perfect size for my traveling architectural photography business - easily fitting the overhead compartments on even commuter jets. And the wheels are the best yet. (I actually just found out my floors have a low spot in them because of this bag.)I've got my bag filled with two 5Dm3 bodies, three TS-E lenses, a 24-70 f2.8L-II, a 16-35 f2.8L-II, an 600EX-RT flash, two camera battery chargers and six batteries, plus AA batteries & charger, lots of cables, and a Lacie Rugged hard drive. I can even fit my 70-200 f2.8L-II when I need it. Better yet, my MacBook Pro Retina and iPad fit perfectly and getting through TSA is a breeze using this bag. If only Think Tank Photo made shoes too!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bag This bag was purchased to make traveling easier, but I have found I use it now on all of my photo shoots. It holds all the gear I need, packed and ready to go. It is sturdy, rolls easily (even on nature trails), and holds everything I need. I have my D600, 24-70, 70-200, 85mm, a backup camera, two flashes, four triggers, my rogue flash benders, and my reflector in the laptop area. Attached to the side is my tripod. I roll the bag with one hand and carry my light stand in the other. If needed, I put my sandbag on top of the bag while rolling it. This bag has made my life much easier! I would definitely buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended I used this bag on my african safari tour. The way I packed it I had 1DX mark ii body, 7 D mark ii, 1x speedlite 600, 100mm macro, 16:35mm, 100-400, 1.4 teleconverter, 2x teleconverter, extension tube, 5” on camera monitor, 6 extra batteries, raincoat, RRS tripod on side, all my chargers for my cameras, cables, 15” MacBook and a 600mm lens on top of the bag attached on the handle but it’s was so smooth at airport. It was heavy when you lift it up and pushing it on four wheels was like I was pushing an egg. This is the best travel bag I have owned. I have think tank limo but think tank photo airport roller Derby is just unbeatable. I wish I could show pictures here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wheels for travel As I'm getting older, lugging my photo equipment gets to be more of a chore. So that was the main driver in choosing this rolling case. Though the interior space was not as big as expected, and I wish the two inside dividers running vertically could be adjusted for more efficient use of internal space, the 4 rollers are almost frictionless and taking the bag traveling is much more effortless than carrying one. Also, the well-padded area for my Mac, is a good feature. Though expensive, but in comparison to my cameras and expensive glass investment, well worth while. Highly recommend.

Will it fit in overhead compartments of smaller regional jets?
    Asked by: Greg B.
The problem I had with the slightly smaller International roller bag had nothing to do with size, it fit fine, but with quantity. The flight was full and all the bins were full. After I got to Rome the regional carrier, even though I was early to board and the bag was the right size to fit, forced me to check it at plane entry. I transferred my camera but had to leave a couple of lenses and they were fine. Makes you nervous but the cased worked.

Two questions: 1. Is this airline approved as a carry-on?2. I need to carry a Nikon D800, 200-500mm lens, 28-300mm lens, a Speedlight and filters. Is this the right case?
    Asked by: KAREN H.
I have used mine as a carry on as far as US regulations go, not sure on international regulations though. It will fit nicely in the overhead bin of a mainline aircraft(Boeing and Airbus), however, forget about it in a smaller regional jet. In mine I can carry 2 Canon bodies, 300mm 2.8L IS II, 70-200 and a 24-70. It should be fine with the lenses and speedlight. Keep in mind, there is an indent into the interior where the handle will collapse into it. It is a great bag, top notch quality and rolls with ease.
