question
I want to use the Ferrofish B4000+ with my Yamaha P105 Piano as a controller. This keyboard only has USB midi -(no 5 pin available). If I use a USB 2.0 A Female to B Male Adapter with the USB cable, the appropriate ends of the cable will hook up to the Ferrofish and the keyboard properly. Will I be able to control the Ferrofish from my keyboard? Please advise.
The Ferrofish B4000+ and the Yamaha P105 both feature USB connections that are compatible with connection to a computer only. Unfortunately these units are not able to communicate directly with each other via USB.

Is the ferrofish b4000 compatible with the Yamaha DGX660?
Sure, it works with any MIDI controller. You can turn off Local Mode on the DGX660 to stop the internal sounds from being used. If your keyboard does not have a MIDI out port you will need a box that can convert USB MIDI to DIN MIDI.

question
This is from the manual: Switch: 2state ? 3state2state switches (On-Off) are commercially available. However, since the Rotor has three positions, you can alsoconnect a special switch with three positions, using a stereophonejack. This switch should connect tip with sleeve, andring with sleeve. I would like to buy such a switch with the B4000+. Any ideas?
I have used switches from Ashby Solutions for years. Because I use different setups for different gigs, I like that their switch is compatible with the Hammond XK-3, Neo Instruments Ventilators and the Ferrofish B4000+. They are solid builds, reasonably priced and are available in different configurations.

question
Does the Ferrofish B4000 have midi in and 1/4 inch out to connect to an amplifier. If not, how do you plug in a controller and output to a standard 1/4 in amplifier?
Yes, midi in, and 1/4 inch out. Plus, you can feed a 1/4 inch in and mix that with your ferrofish output.

question
Does the volume reduce when the percussion is activated like a real Hammond thereby making the percussion more upfront?
The short answer is: no. The longer answer: The percussion replaces the 9th drawbar sound. If the volume of the percussion is set to 100%, it can still be heard, even with all other eight drawbars pulled out 100%. With only the lowest four drawbars at 100%, it is very upfront set to 100%. Unlike a Hammond, the percussion pitch is not limited to either the second harmonic (octave) or third (octave and a fifth); it can be set to any of the drawbar pitches, from first (unison) to ninth drawbar (fourth octave).
