The Macrofier Reverse Mount Adapter and Extension Tube for Canon EF/EF-S Lenses from Vello allows you to reverse mount any Canon EF or EF-S lens to your Canon DSLR camera, facilitating extremely close-focus macro and micro photography. An economical alternative to purchasing macro lenses, this all-metal item can also function as a standard auto extension tube, with the ability to add an unlimited number of tube extensions.

The Macrofier's integrated circuitry cable enables your lens to communicate with your camera, even with the mounting reversed, allowing for automatic control of the aperture and focus. When used as a reverse mounted lens, the camera will focus using contrast-detect AF and live view, or manual focusing. Alternatively, when mounted as simply an extension tube, both phase detection AF and contrast-detect AF with the camera's live view are supported along with manual focus.

With the dual use functions and integrated electronics, the Macrofier is an effective accessory for those interested in an economical option for close-up, macro photography.

Reverse Mounting

Achieve extreme macro magnification with auto focus and exposure by utilizing the Macrofier to mount your EF/EF-S lens backwards on your Canon DSLR camera body.

Extension Tube

By increasing the space between the lens and your camera's sensor, you can achieve a closer macro magnification than your standard lens would normally offer. When used as an extension tube, the Macrofier maintains the auto focus and exposure modes of your camera.

Compatible With Additional Extension Tubes

Additional extension tubes, such as the Vello EXT-CEM, can be screwed onto the Macrofier for even closer focusing and macro magnification.
Includes 7 adapter rings for reverse mounting compatibility with most lenses

What is the diameter of the threaded side of the adapter rings that screws into the mount adapter? It looks to be about 60mm from the photos but could be 58mm or 62mm.
Asked by: James M
The diameter of the male ring on the end of the Lens Ring is 60mm (measured at 59.85mm with a digital micrometer). Vello Customer Service advises that there is no adapter ring to attach anything to this male threading, it's only function is to attach the two rings together to act as a single extension tube.

question

what is the magnification of this with a 50mm lens and a 100mm lens?
Asked by: John
I have only used it with my 60mm macro lens, and also I don't really judge a macro lens by its magnification. I judge it by how close I can get to the very tiny objects I photograph like snowflakes. The macrofier eliminated at least an inch from my focusing distance, which made all the difference in the world to me.

question

will the image stabilizer work when the reverse mount is connected and when used as extension tube, what is the magnification?
Asked by: Wang G.
This accesory is precisely for activate the aperture/diapraghm, is the point of it. Nor the autofocus or the stabilization (wich by the way, you must go manual to don't trick the camera)

question

I have a Canon 18-135 lens on my T6i and would like to protect the rear element with a UV filter. How is this accomplished if possible? Thanks Neil
Asked by: Neil F.
You could attach a UV 67mm or anything else to the Vello lens ring, (the front facing to your photographed subject) attaching first, an adapter ring 60mm female to 67mm male, then add a 67 to 67 (both sides females) to the UV 67mm filter or anything else with proper adapters.

question

Used as an extension tube only, what is the mm equivalent extension tube? For example, is it the same as 36mm tube? Or 24mm? Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
It is definitely in the 30+ mm category. Scott W. below says his measures at about 33mm. I measured mine and got 35 inches, counting the attachment rings.I like having both the extension tube and reverse mount adapter in one piece of equipment. I'm pretty happy with it.
