A flexible wide-angle zoom in a compact form factor, the EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM from Canon is a 16-28.8mm equivalent lens designed for EF-S-mount DSLRs. Helping to reduce the overall size while maintaining high optical quality, a four-group zoom design is employed along with one ultra-low dispersion element, one aspherical element, and one large-diameter element to produce sharp, clear imagery void of chromatic and spherical aberrations. A Super Spectra coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color neutrality. Benefitting both photo and video applications, an STM stepping AF motor is used to realize quick and near-silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. Additionally, a four-stop-effective Image Stabilizer system is also featured and minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting.

Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Reviews
Used it this past weekend. Great little lens, the packaging was good, no issues.
Super Value High Performance Must Have Lens
High performance, low cost lens is extremely useful and truly expands your capabilities in many situations. The ability to capture extra wide images adds a new dimension to one's repertoire. This lens is sharp enough with good bokeh. One can shoot large objects and buildings without running a quarter mile away. You can get closer and still see a large view, avoiding the narrow tunnel vision provided by normal lenses. It is great for capturing large groups, especially indoors, and expansive landscapes without stitching multiple images as a panorama in post processing programs to get the big picture. It is especially adept in museums, factories, restaurants and other close quarters where you want a wide, full view. While it is not a professional lens with a price tag to match - it IS a good, high quality, reasonably sharp low distortion, useful lens at an affordable price. It definitely punches above its weight class. I wish I had purchased this lens years ago. As always, B&H promptly and safely delivered the right item at a competitive price. JR
Fantastic Wide Angle
Using this lens with a 90D and even with the 90D not being a full frame sensor this gets a nice wide shot there is very little if any distortion. The STM focus is very quiet on for video and the quality is great. The only downside is it does need a good amount of light for it to work right, but if being used outdoors in the daytime that is not an issue.
I bought this lens about 10 months ago and so far the image and build quality has been excellent, although the lens has noticeable distortion and chromatic aberration towards the edges the images came out great. The lens is not the greatest in low light but that is to be expected from a wide-angle lens in this price range
Good wide angle lens
I had been looking for a wide angle lens that wasn't a fish eye, to capture a greater area of landscapes and such. This one is especially nice as it keeps distortion low! Also doesn't suffer from chromatic aberrations as much as some others do.
Works great on my Rebel T6; the super wide angle gives really fun perspectives.
It's a decent lens for the money. The fact it can go down to 10mm is attractive. I have noticed some barrel distortion on pano pictures but that is easily corrected in post.
Very nice lens
