Lenspen NLP1-C Overview

  • 1Description

The black LensPen Lens Cleaner is a small, lightweight, pen-shaped cleaning tool, designed for camera lenses and other optical items. Its 0.47" (12mm) cleaning tip is slightly concave, making it especially compatible with the convex shape of lenses on digital SLR cameras, binoculars, rifle scopes, and more. A retractable brush is included for dust removal.

The cleaning element contains no liquid, and is designed to never dry out. Put the Replenishment Cap back on after using the LensPen and it will refresh the surface of the tip, assuring that only cleaning compound, not grease, will touch the lens on the next cleaning.

Designed for cleaning of camera lenses and other optical items
The cleaning tip has a slightly concave shape for a better fit
A retractable dust-removal brush is built in
Its non-liquid carbon cleaning compound won't spill or dry out
It's safe to use and environmentally friendly

Lenspen NLP1-C Reviews

LensPen Lens Cleaner (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good lens cleaner at a fair price I like the dual feature of this product, as I've never really liked using a microfiber cloth on my lenses. Sometimes when I use those things, I feel like I wipe the lens 20x and continue to reintroduce particles on the lens. With this guy, the brush and the flush end working in unison seem to get the majority of debris off of my lens. If this fails, I'll give it a blast with the giottos rocket blaster. For the price and the utility of this product, it's pretty hard to beat. Just be sure you don't make the mistake I used to and touch either end of the cleaner, as your oils from your hands will transfer to your lens pen, and then your lens - not to mention pretty much ruin your lens pen. Derp. You gotta learn somehow!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It did remove a smudge that was hard to remove I would not use this too often on a lens but when the air blower and wet cleaning have problems this will remove the smudge. It seems rather abrasive even if it doesn't scratch anything. It's small so I keep one in my bag. The retractable brush is quite soft and useful, clean it often with a air blaster so dust don't stay on the brush.? When using the carbon particule side, don't use pressure and watch video on how to use it before. I did practice on old beated up lenses before on expensive lenses. Also concentrate on smudge section don't do the whole lens for no reason. That been said, it's a useful tool and so cheap it's worth having one and if the pad on the carbon side show sign of use stop using it and replace the device completely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Cleaner Friends kept talking about the lenspen and I decided to buy one. I was a little skeptical at first when watching the videos online. When it arrived I quickly tried it on my lens and it actually worked. Found out this work perfectly when there is light smudges on the lens and nothing too big, for that I have to use my microfiber cloth. For its worth, great addition to keep in the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from always handy! I always keep one of these on the top pocket of my ThinkTank harness. Use the brush side to displace dust specs, then the other end to remove sticky spots with the micro-fiber end. True, it may still be necessary in some situations to use a clean micro-fiber or lens tissue for a more thorough lens cleaning, but still I find the LensPen is a good solution that can be deployed quickly on the go. And if you will be using a micro-fiber or tissue, always use the brush side of the LensPens first to get rid of particles that could scratch your lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't use anything else I'm on my second Lenspen and wouldn't use anything else on my lens or filters. Since I've started using them, I have not needed any liquid cleaners.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't work on water spots This product didn't work for me for getting out dried water spots. Microfibre cloth still worked best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick Got this at the recommendation of a B&H employee to clean a smudge off the rear element of one of my lenses. Worked like a charm; it was easy and quick to use, and the smudge was totally gone after a few seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best innovations of all time. One of the best inventions ever . On par with duct tape, liquid nails, Swiffer mop / duster and tampons. I use these on everything glass and plastic especially my glasses besides the obvious photography. I always have one in my pocket. I've purchased non namebrand and had not such good results.
