The SS-5220 Pneumatic Lift-Assist Speaker Stand from Auray features a pneumatic center column that exerts air pressure to make it safe and easy for you to raise or lower the height of the stand even with a heavy speaker on it. The pneumatic system is under a 50 lb preload and allows the stand to raise any speaker weighing less than 50 lb without any effort. Even when used with speakers heavier than 50 lb, the pneumatic lift-assist will still greatly improve the ease of use over standard stands.
