question

Does the grip also extend the height of the grip as well as the depth?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Fujifilm MHG-XT adds an additional 8mm of clearance from the base of the body, so yes, it will extend the height of the overall camera. It matches the silhouette of the camera's body and will not add any additional width.

question

Do you think this grip will give a better horizontal grip than the fujifilm battery grip? I am trying to decide between getting this or just opting for the battery grip.
Asked by: Anonymous
The MHG-XT and the VG-XT1 Battery Grip will provide roughly the same amount of clearance, and the battery grip will just provide extra battery power. If you do not require the additional functions of the battery grip and are solely looking for an easier way to hold the camera, the MHG-XT will be the better choice.

question

Is this grip larger than the MHG-XE? And if so will it fit an XE1? I have small hands but still find the MHG-XE feels odd and I am constantly hitting the Q button with my thumb.
Asked by: Anonymous
This grip is roughly the same size as the MHG-XE grip, but is not compatible witht he XE1 camera. The grips are custom designed and machined only to fit the specific models they are listed for.

question

is this plate compatible with the vertical/battery grip?
Asked by: jack n.
The plate will not fit the battery grip. Which is a shame since it is such a great idea to have a plate that fits the Arca Swiss type heads.
